You should add an “other” option. I don’t know how much ours was since our venue provided it! [attachment=1093526,137137]

I would say you got a good deal. I am paying $200 for 50 people and we are picking it up

We’re doing a two tier cake for cutting and sheet cakes from costco. I told my mom to find a cake and keep the cost under $200, haha. She thought the cutting bit was important I guess, since she got one besides the sheet cakes. Cake’s not really a big deal to us though.

    We’re feeding 130ish.

Mine cost $230. (116 slices $2/slice). The baker is my mom’s coworker adn we’ve used her for things in the past so she’s delivering it free of charge. The cake’s goign to be 2 layers of red velvet and then 2 fake tiers to add height without adding any cost.

$2.55/slice. This equates out to about $350. This is with 3 different flavors, all layers filled and a pretty intricate design.

Ours, for 75 servings, is just over $500.00. The cake itself was not that expensive; however, after we added delivery, artwork, borders, and bows, it quickly added up.

300 for a 3 tier cake that will serve 115, and 100 for a sheet cake that will serve 100.

400 bucks to feed 60 people cake! an obscene amount of freakin money.

The cake actually serves more like 100 or so with the top layer. Which we are serving because it is Out of Town wedding. They just wouldn’t do a smaller cake for us. So I relented to the crazy expense because it tasted soooo good. LOL

Ous was about $400 for a square cake for 120 people. The delivery fee, in itself was like $65 I think.

Wedding cake annoys the crap out of me. Can someone please explain why 3.50-12/teeny tiny slice is reasonable?! it is flour and eggs for godsake! lol. I’m so annoyed looking for wedding cakes. We have 100ish people and I want a very very very simple design. like probably just plain buttercream with no piping or design. And I don’t care about fancy flavors or fillings. But the cheapest I can find is 3.50+/slice and it just seems crazy to me to spend so much freakin money on CAKE. sigh. /rant

Mine’s $550 but absolutely delicious, gorgeous and worth it.  We went with a higher-end cake place because we just loved the design and taste of the same vendor’s cake at my FI’s sister’s wedding.  It’s our one major splurge and I’m really glad we’re doing it.

My cake was pricy…and we also had a grooms cake. The Grooms cake was $300 and the wedding cake was $1000 including delivery. YIKES! I know…but it was perfect and everyone loved them and they were a big splurge for us 🙂
