zales sales right now have been awesome. 25% off in store wedding bands and a whole online section that is really discounted.

i am getting two 1/4 carat anniversary bands to sandwich my solitaire. they are $219 each + tax and 10k white gold which i was told really doesn’t make a difference in look for white gold because it is all rhodium plated anyway.

they also have a 1/4k white gold one for $388. both identical to:

This icing cost over $5k… just for the band.

However, very similar to this one (but with lower diamond clarity and color) with gold on at T&Co is about $2k.    It is depends on the qulity and where you get it.  Shop around.

@claireos:  Ahhh! I love your wedding band! I don’t see a lot of wedding bands on here that don’t have diamonds/are hand-engraved, so I get a little excited when I see one, esp one I like!

Here is one I am currently a little in love with (but I would get it in yellow gold, I think):

@bump:  That was actually my very first time in Zales! And I got it like, 3 weeks ago! Also, I know they also have uncertified diamonds in a band almost identical to mine and those are on sale for $700 but the diamonds in those are just beautiful, at least the ones at the store I was at.

My Fiance is also Eastern European so he does not mind asking for lower prices. I could never do it, but jewelry stores will go as far as they can to sell you something provided you buy the care plans. So if you offer them $600, they may go up to $625. I used to work at a private jewelry store and people did this all the time.

@H2MrsDj:  Thank you! And half price on yours, isn’t that the best feeling when you get a good deal?? Your rings are lovely!

I think mine was something like $850. I never cared as much about my wedding band for some reason, just wanted it to look good with my e ring. I couldn’t even tell you the stats on it. Now I’m curious!
