The past few days I’ve been starting 2 threads each day. And sometimes I feel like that’s too much; almost as if I’m hogging the boards and should spend a little more time in the real world, haha.
Do you think one member can post too many threads in one day? Does it matter what the topic is? For instance, most of my posts actually aren’t wedding related, if I was starting 2 topics a day every day asking for opinions on different aspects for my wedding is that better or worse then starting 2 topics a day about random stuff?
And I’ll add a poll, because the Hive loves polls…
ETA: The poll is about threads started not posts…who doesn’t want to be on the leader board and up their post count? hahahaha

Since I am a bee reading addict, I say keep em coming! Hitting the refresh button and watching new threads come up is always exciting. God, I need a life lol.

omg I always try to be the highest poster. lol A few of us have a game going. Well, Belle2Be is no longer here so my new competition is SoontobeMrsA.
As long as your threads are revelant then who cares how many you start. A lot of times I post something and the first 3 replies are often from people looking for the same answers!

No post count, but threads started. Look at the leader board, I’m totally slacking in the real world today and that doesn’t bother me, it’s if I start a thread, and then like another hour I want to start another thread, and then like another hour, etc.
And I’m not gonna lie, sometimes when I see people chain starting threads not posting, I just think it’s kind of weird. Like asking for opinions on every little thing in the world. I dunno, maybe it’s just me, and I’m just self conscious about starting lots of threads, lol.

It really doesn’t bother me if I see a ton of threads by the same poster–it’s just more to look at! 🙂

As long as they’re not spam, I don’t care how many posts one user puts up in a day.

I seem to save all my thread starts for one day, so I’ll have 2 or 3 in one day and then none for a while again. I think they’re fine as long as they’re not 5 threads every single day that don’t serve a purpose like helping you find something/answer a Q/entertain, etc.
Threadiquette Q (since I don’t want to be the ‘chain starter’ who doesn’t post): Is it common/expected to keep replying to the responses in your own thread? Or let it go for a bit? I don’t want to overtake my own thread by thanking/responding all the time, but I’m not ignoring it. What to do?

@indibee: Personally, I like when the OP responds to my post to them, it makes me feel like there was actually a reason for the post. I’m more active on my own threads then anyone elses because let’s face it, they’re more important to me, lol.
Now I’m afraid people find that annoying…lol

@Miss Tattoo: Psssh. What competiton? I’m winning as usual. In all seriousness, I get kind of embarassed when I see how much I post!
I say start as many threads as you like! If people find it annoying they just won’t answer.
@Mrs Grape: And if it’s wedding porn all the better!

If they’re interesting and haven’t already been posted a thousand times, to me you can start as many posts as you want.

@Miss Tattoo: Maybe I’ll join in the competition just for today…if I did every day I would never get any work done. And I’m kind of cheating by joining in today, because I already have a pretty high count, hahahaha.

I would say if they are all really interesting then it is ok but that you should follow up on them. If you just make a topic then do not have any follow up I think that is annoying.
