We only had 1 cake for 120 people, and the cost was 600$. I’d say since you have 2 cakes and more guests it sounds about right?

I had enough cake to feed 150 people (honestly more, but that’s the nature of wedding cake!), the big 3-tier (2 for guests, 1 to keep) and a separate grooms cake, and it was $600 with tax/delivery/cake stand. Both cakes had above-basic flavors (like raspberry filling between cake layers, etc) and the design added a bit of price to it. I think we would have been at ~$500 if we had gone with something more basic.

I would personally shop around for a little better price, but that’s just me!

Fyi your poll’s a little wonky – there’s no spot for $300-400 (which is what we spent) or $600-700.

I had a 3-tier big enough to feed 75 people PLUS the top tier we took home!

It was $90, but we also got married in Upstate NY, where weddings are cheap!

@Bjones107:  You are going to think this is stupid, but you can get an amazing cake at Publix, nice and plain for like $150 and then you can get a florist to put (non harmful real flowers) between the tiers or on the actual cake.  They won’t be able to eat where some of the flowers were, but you could make it super beautiful and cheap.

I promise you NOBODY can tell between a high end cake from a famous bakery and a publix cake when they are drunk at a wedding.  Shoot i can’t even tell when I am sober.

we’re doing cupcakes, and a small cake to cut. the price was the same as doing a traditional cake, as they price cakes per serving. it came out to be a little less than $400.

Ours was free! It was our wedding gift from some family friends. It was 3 tiers, big enough for at least 130 (but I’m pretty sure there was TONS left over) and really pretty!

A friend of mine from high school did ours. We got about 250 cupcakes for $400.

It was a custom “Stanley Cup” cake to go with our hockey theme.

@Bjones107:  Yes I agree:) I know two brides that did the publix cakes and nobody could tell… they were yummy and cheap and the decor they had the florist do on them was breathtaking.

We had one 3 tier cake and a sheet cake, so enough to serve about 150 people, and it cost us over $1,000.  It was a simple design with nothing fancy.

$800 something. We had a 3 tier cake with 2 flavors (chocolate with raspberry filling and vanilla with fresh berries) It was enough to feed 150 guests and we took the top tier with us.
