We spent around $1500-$1800 on mine I believe and my ering was $8800.. so I think it’s a fair amount. I didn’t want to break the bank on it but Fiance didn’t want to ‘cheap out’ as he puts it since he worked so hard to get me the ering I have he wanted something of similar quality to go with it. We defintely didn’t get the matching band for it though which would have been $3000-$3500.

My Fiance bought my engagment ring for 2,300. (which i thought was too much at the time) but he spent 750 on my band, its a 1/2 ct. which i dont think is too bad? But 3k on a band…that to me is too much! Do you have pictures of them together??

I don’t think it is too much if 1-you love it, and 2- you can afford it.

I don’t think I’d be willing to spend that much on the band (personally). For that amount of money I would have rather gotten a larger center stone, but everyone’s wants are different. Maybe try a couple more stores to see if you see anything equally beautiful for less $?

Yes, 3k does seem like a crazy amount for the band. But it isn’t crazy depending on what % of your income that is, and also maybe what % of your total wedding budget that is. If 3k is a small percentage of both those thing, then it’s not crazy at all!! But last I heard teachers & fire fighters didn’t make mega big bucks . . .?

We spent about $2400 and yes, it was TOO DAMNED MUCH.  I could have had a knockoff custom made for about half that, but we ran out of time.

Everyone is different, and to each their own!

I told my fiance that if he spent 3x his monthly salary on a ring I would be pissed, and basically gave a price range that I was comfortable with and of course he loved the range! If he was going to spend a high amount he could put it towards our mortgage, buying me a Harley or something that would be more worth it to me ๐Ÿ™‚ Not saying rings aren’t worth it by any means, we all are unique and like you wanting this band for $3000, more power to you if you feel that’s what you want.

I did not vote because mine was about $1,200 and there was no option for me ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t think that’s unreasonable given that you can afford it.  Mine was around $1000 and my ring was around $5000 so I guess that’s a somewhat similar ratio

I think if you can comfortably afford it and really love it, then go for it!  My band was about $1100, but it was exactly what I wanted – just the matching band to my e-ring.  I think about 10k for the set, e-ring and w-band, is not too crazy at all.
