I am trying to figure out how much candy to buy. I have about 500 guests, but us Asians don’t eat very much sweets, so i’m thinking at most 60 % will eat our candies.
I am thinking of having about 7 varieties of candies. I ordered 10 ibs each of everything….is this too little? I am scared that I ordered too little….
What do you all think?? Too much? Too little?

If you do the math its about 4 oz for every guest, or since you think only 60% will eat candy, about 7 oz per person then. I would think that would be plenty. If you are concerned though, it never hurts to have an extra bag or two. You could always snack on the unopened extra candy later or give it to the parents of some of the kids or to your nieces and nephews. 🙂

i had a candy buffet at my wedding – primarily asian guests. approx 150 people. my candy buffet was completely GONE by the 2nd hour of the reception. I don’t know exactly how much candy i bought but we had about 8 large/medium jars filled with candy. i was thinking along the same lines as you – oh its an asian wedding, ppl won’t go crazy for candy but i was WRONG. also, do you have kids as your wedding. the candy will go even quicker….

I had the same thing happen at my wedding as Amy. I was "convinced" my coordinator didn’t put everything out, but I was wrong. The goodies go super fast!
