I don’t think there is such a thing as too much money if you like them and can afford them. Personally I could not afford that much money per std. I would probably spend a max of $1 per std…but that’s just because they are not that important to me and I can’t afford to spend much money on them.

However if you can afford these STD’s and you love them then go for it.

Just make sure you prioritize the different things you are spending money on for your wedding. You don’t want to spend lots of money on STD’s only to find out you can’t hire the photographer you love.

If you can afford them and they’re important to you, go for it.

For us, Save-The-Date Cards and invitations weren’t all that important, so we are sending postcard Save-The-Date Cards for like 50 cents each, and our invites are like $2.50 each.

You still have almost a year till your wedding, so there’s plenty of time to look around for better deals… and don’t forget that wedding things add up FAST.  Just my 2 cents.  🙂

I don’t think $2.50 is too much at all, depending on your budget.  After all is said and done, I think each of ours will be about $3.50, and I’m DIYing them.

If you can afford it and you love them, go for it!  They look really nice, I can see why you like them!

It entirely depends on how much you can afford.  If you can afford them, it’s not too much.  If you can’t afford them, it’s too much.  If you could afford them if you made other things a lesser priority, I wouldn’t do it- it’s just paper.

I don’t think they are too much, but I think 125 seems like a lot to send out for a 200 guest list count. Remember that you may not want to send out an STD to everyone because there may be people that you think you will invite now but come a year from now they may not make “your cut.”

I think these are super cute and would gladly pay $2.50/ea for them. However, being a DIYer by nature I would probably do them myself to save on money. Are you creative? Do you enjoy DIYing? If so I would give it a try yourself first. You still have time, you really don’t need to send out STDS for another few months.

Have you considered putting something out on Etsy’s alchemy and see if someone out there can do it cheaper?

Depends on your budget, but for me that is quite expensive for STD’s.  We DIYed ours on photoshop (scanning and majorly retouching an actual postcard we found), then had them printed via overnightprints.  It cost us 20€ for 100 postcards.

Wow, those save the dates are beautiful.  We didn’t budget that much for save the dates and invites, so I couldn’t get those.  But if you tried playing around with Photoshop or Word you might be able to get the look. Asking around on Etsy is also a great idea.

The only time I would consider the price of a STD “too much” was if it cost more than the wedding invitations!

Those are awesome & definitely worth the $2.50 *drool*

I don’t think it’s too much! Including postage, ours were about $2.00 each and it was just a simple, single-sided printed card (custom designed by a friend who has a store on Etsy, which is why they were more expensive than other similiar styles)…If you send out 100, that’s $250 which personally, doesn’t sound like very much to me! I think they’re really cute too!

those are really nice! i agree with many of the posts above, if you can afford it, then do it! we’re going to keep our Save-The-Date Cards and invites cheap, so something like that for us, we wouldn’t consider.
