Our entire Destination Wedding costs $12,000. Below is the breakdown:

Our trip/honeymoon – $4,000

Our parents trips – $4,000 (we wanted to pay for them)

All other wedding expenses – $4,000 (includes dress, ceremony, reception at restaurant, flowers, photos, invites, FI’s outfit, etc.)

Sorry, should have specified. Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We’re having the wedding at the Gran Porto Resort and staying at The Royal for the honeymoon portion. They are two sister resorts next to each other.

We were originally planning a Destination Wedding but changed our plans to appease our families. I was working with a planner in Bermuda and we were looking at approximately $12,000 for the wedding we wanted to have. Part of the reason we wanted to go the Destination Wedding route was to save money but we soon realized that we wouldn’t be saving anything besides the cost of the Honeymoon. Our wedding at home is the same amount as the Destination Wedding was going to be.

Our Destination Wedding is costing about $15,000. But we are paying for everyone’s rooms. Breakdown below.

– Buying out all the rooms in B&B for 2 nights – $6000

– Food – $2000

– Site Fee – $1500

– Dress – $1800

– Other expenses – $3500 (photographer, cake, invitations, decor)

This is for Napa Valley. I don’t like seeing the breakdown, it’s so expensive!

Ours will be about $10k when it’s all said and done

$5500 food

$400 ceremony and reception venue

$300 chairs

$500 photog

$400 dj

Decor, flowers, and officiant are free – the rest is dress, rehearsal lunch, and gifts.

Ours will be here in FL on Sanibel Island, so it is only a “semi” destination wedding. We’ll be spending around 8K with everything included, so it would be around 9K if airfare & traveling expenses were needed…

I don’t understand the question “How much did it cost if you already had your special day?”  What is left for the Destination Wedding budget?

My best guess on ours has ended up being a bit more than I thought/we budgeted as I gaze at my drained bank balance…

$6500 rehearsal dinner (food, drink, venue)

$13000  reception food, drink, venue, chairs, DJ, photography

$4000   ceremony venue, decorations, officiant, photography

$7000  clothes…my dress, tuxes, Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, shoes, rehearsal outfits, accessories

$1500  the hotel bill for the weekend

$1500  a van tour for our guests on Sunday

$500 DIY costs…decorations, flowers, etc.

$500  Transportation

Quick calculation sez that’s $34.5K.

I hope my dress sells!

We had our wedding about 25 miles south of Playa Del Carmen, MX and it was AMAZING. I think between the ceremony site rental, flowers, and our private reception we paid just under $5k. We did go all out and have a private ceremony site which we paid extra for otherwise we probably could have done it all for around $3,500.

Oneeleven – The two resorts are sister resorts. We’re staying the first two days of the trip at the Gran Porto Real (where the wedding is) and moving to The Royal that night for the honeymoon. All guests at The Royal are allowed to go to the Gran Porto but guests of the Gran Porto are not allowed to go to The Royal.

Our wedding package includes a semi-private reception at one of the resort restaurants. Our ceremony is in the wedding gazebo. However they do offer a beach ceremony site.

Ceremony, flowers, officiant, photog, videog, live music… all in a package for about $4200.

Reception at an onsite restaurant afterwards will be about $2300.

Not sure how much my dress & accessories will cost because I haven’t been shopping yet.. :o)

But for the Destination Wedding without any travel or attire costs, we will end up between $6500-7000.

My DW+Honeymoon… (Walt Disney World) EVERYTHING INCLUDED COST ESTIMATE

dress and tux

9 day hotel stay in Port Orleans Riverside

2 five day Disney park hopper tickets 

2 two day park-to-park Universal Studios tickets

airfare

estimated food costs

Memories Collection wedding ceremony (includes limo service and photography also)

private Illuminations viewing dessert party for 20 friends and family

 

Total estimated cost: $10,040

 

I am thinking of adding in a Magic Kingdom photo shoot, which will cost $1,500.

 

ETA: We aren’t paying for an officiant because a friend of ours will be doing the deed.
