@4leafclover: I wanted, simply, elegant, classy, and timeless. I found Jim Hjelm to be my keeper. I spent way more than what I said I would but it was perfect. I felt beautiful and it was everything I imagined it would be. It was so worth it. I worked hard, saved my money, and had a fabulous wedding. We paid for the majority of our wedding our selves so it’s not like I was asking my parents to buy me a $3000 dress. I always said i NEVER would pay over $1000 but when you know it’s the one, it’s the ONE. I could have gone with something different, there were others I liked, but this one I LOVED. Go with your heart.

My Alfred Angelo was $800 after taxes and a $100 discount. It hasn’t come in yet so I don’t know what the alterations are going to be but I’m hoping they’re minimal.

Ummm…I didn’t vote because mine was $550 right between your 100-500 and 600-900 choices!  ๐Ÿ™‚ Mine was a Sophia Tolli sample dress.

Yeah…I kind of blew my dress budget…but it was so worth it. We’re paying for our wedding ourselves, so I didn’t feel TOO bad about it. Mine is Enzoani Diana and cost $2450 before taxes and alterations.

Dylan Rae, $1k but just under with 10% discount! This is all assuming it won’t need any alterations and before obvious accessories galore! The dress was well under my budget, but then that just makes the accessorizing more fun and stress free. It is perfect and I am so in love and glad I didn’t skip over anything based on the price tag. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Mine was from David’s and on sale for $450, plus I paid I think $40 for sleeves.  I didn’t want to spend more than $500 on the initial dress.  I spent around $250 (I can’t remember!) for alterations, plus my mom added sleeves for me since the cost to have them do them in alterations was ridiculous ๐Ÿ˜‰

I got a Jim Hjelm dress (JH8962).  It retails for $4,450, but I bought it at a trunk show for $3,600…and alterations and tax added another $600.
