we rented from mens warehouse this weekend actually..its about 124.00 for a tux rental.

if you like the suits and they are willing to buy i say why not. the price differenct isnt much. Mens Warehouse has tuxes from 89.00-149.00…at least here in NC.

with 5 tux rentals the groom gets his tux rental free or a free suit (up to $400.00) He is getting the suit just because he needs one but renting his tux for the wedding.

The tux’s are $140.  I think a suit is an awesome idea if it fits your wedding.

i didn’t like the look of the generic rental tuxes. because they are rentals, they did not seem to fit properly and you could not tailor them to fit the guys perfectly.

i opted to have my guys buy pants, dress shirts, and vests from H and M!!! and guess what? Their outfits are 72 dollars a piece. Totally trendy and totally re-wearable. I am buying them all different skinny ties from Urban Outfitters.

We opted to rent the Groomsmen tuxes and they were $144.  It included the coat, pant, shirt, vest, tie, socks, hankerchief, studs and shoes.  Before we went to look at tuxes, I had no idea there were so many parts.  Some of our guys don’t reguarly dress up, so they didn’t have nice shoes, so we opted to have everyone get shoes.  Also, we didn’t completely trust a few of the guys, so we had every get socks too, LOL.

The dad’s only paid $110 for everything and my husband’s tux was free.

@heatherrobyn: Smart! What a great idea. I totally would have done something like that, especially since the guys work Converse shoes and I wanted the guys in vests. =0/ Oh well, what’s done is done. Kudos!

We still got a good deal though.  The guys bought their suits for $100 a piece and we got them their shirts and ties from Macys (on sale) for $40.

Good luck making your decision and Congrats!

We opted for the guys to buy their suits as well.  It turned out to be the same cost as renting (and its in tan, so they can use it for other events than blacktie).

They’re total cost (for the pants, shirt, belt, and shoes) was …..

$117.  And they get a pair of pants, a shirt, a belt, and new shoes to use whenever.  I’d say that’s a good deal!!!

i didn’t vote, because i don’t even know–the guys all wore black suits of their own choosing! most already had one or didn’t mind buying one because they’d wear it again. in pictures and on the day of, you can’t tell that they aren’t exactly matching
