We paid for everything on our own. Counting everything BUT my ring and the honeymoon (we’ll be taking that next Christmas) our wedding total was just under $15,000. We had 90 guests, three plated meal options, a band, two signature drinks and a keg, appetizers, a late night buffet, a BEAUTIFUL cake, a LOT of flowers (we’re both flower nuts) and our reception was in a lake front room. In the end it was all worth it and I have NO regrets!

Our wedding is costing up about 19K (Wedding: 15K, Honeymoon 4K)….and that is for a daytime wedding with only 50 guests in San Diego area.

    My family contributed = $2300

His family contributed = $3000 (plus they are paying for the rehearsal dinner which was not in our budget)

So total we are paying/have paid for $13,700.

From what I’m reading here, my hometown is stacking up to California for prices – oy! We’ve budgeted $30,000 total ($12,000 plus my dress, veil and alterations coming from generous parents). So $18,000 from us. This does not include our honeymoon.

I’m DIY-ing invitations and ceremony decor/extra centrepieces. We got a wicked venue that was cheaper than all others we checked out PLUS includes table linens, chair covers, chair sashes and centrepieces. That being said, food and open bar will cost us ~$20,000 of that total (120 guests x $160 pp with tax and service.)

It seems we budgeted high for attendant gifts ($100 gift, plus hair, makeup and jewellery for 4BMs, $100-150 gift for 4GMs and 1MC, $300-$500 for gift for 2 parental units).

    Oh well. It’s only money!

@oxstardust421xo:  We got $30,000 total from our parents ($10k from mine, $20k from his) and we’re covering the rest, which is looking like about $5k – $8k.

Our budget is 25-30. Our venue & food is almost 15k so I’m freaking out how we’re going to do it

@oxstardust421xo:  We set a budget of 25K…hopefully we do not go over!!!

That will hopefully cover everything excluding honeymoon… Honeymoon might be a quick trip or will have to wait a few months

Ours is costing my Fiance and I about $20k total. His parents are contributing $12k and mine are contributing $25k. We expect the total spend to be between $55-60k.

Less than $5K for everything. Keeping it small, simple and elegant.  FI and I are adamant about not blowing a lot of money on one day.

original budget was 12,000. Budget now at 18,000. We got (will get) 5,000 (maybe more) from her family. My mom is buying my dress. We’re paying the rest, so we’re paying 13,000. Does not include honeymoon (wedding in September, honeymoon in December during her law school break), but does include both rings.

    wedding/reception for approx 50 ppl

live in DC metro area, but getting married in Baltimore. Everything is expensive, but Baltimore is not nearly as expensive as DC.
