La is a bit expensive. Ours is 3000 and that’s with a discount! We get engagement photo shoot, 8 hrs on the day, a cd with all images edited, and a second shooter on the day

We paid $320 for 3 hours of photos with DVD with rights and a 8×10.

We got an amazing deal plus she was an amazing photgrapher. I got such a great deal because I pretty much put a few companies in a bidding war and than picked the best photographer. She was AMAZING!!!

@Taylor4:  That same idea is why I wasn’t concerned with an album when we booked a photographer, but that’s still a good price if you decide to do it. My photographer luckily will allow us to add on the extras years later if we want at the same price as if we did it now.  I’m much more concerned with having all the photos high-res and edited than having an album since these days we tend to view photos online rather than in albums.

$3000 for 8 hours, 2 photographers, all photos and rights to them… I don’t think there was an album or anything but I didn’t really care about that.  His technique is amazing – he does a lot of professional and commercial photography outside of weddings and was really difficult to book, so it was worth the money

Ours is $1000 (including tax, so technically more like $870) and includes one photographer, 10 hours of coverage, and a DVD with high-res versions of all the edited photos (around 300-400) and all printing rights. It doesn’t include any albums or printing at all, which I actually really like because I can be sure to only print and spend money on the photos and people who will really want them. And I can wait until later to do it – when my finances from the wedding have settled!

I am so excited to not be in the majority in this vote – I found a photographer I love and is doing exactly what I want and we have TWO photographers and edited photos and it is under 1500.    We only have him for 6 hours but I think that is enough

We (sucessfully) used a friendor photog & paid him a total of $200, plus vendor meal for the reception & free accomodations for the night. He was amazing & turned out to be our best deal yet. I feel like we stole our photos, lol.
