We have around 25,000 in our savings account. Thankfully, my fiance is very good at saving and has a good job. I tend to shop too much! LOL I have about 4,000 in mine.

I’m 24 and working off paying debt. I have about 10k in retirement.

FH is 26 and has $300k, which is astonishing to me. He has a good paying job, but has lived like he’s broke his whole life. He has about 100k liquid, 80k retirement, and the rest in a variety of investments. Needless to say, I’m learning how to save from him!

In my savings alone, I have about $11k. DH brought about nearly 6 figures of savings into our marriage though. I am better at making money while he is better at  managing/saving money. i am 30, and he is 33.

I graduated university last summer and been working since. I now have around 70k saved up,. no student loans . reason why I have so much is because i work full time and weekend jobs(gigs that pay a lot more). I just turned 24 years old  3 days ago. 🙂 by next year Im expecting to get at least 100k saved! Yay!

I am 24 years old and have 23k in my bank account. My Fiance just bought a house and has 40k (I literally don’t know how he does it – considering he pays for a lot more than I do!). I would have thought this was a lot, but I have never felt more poor than when I compare myself to other Calgarians!!

I’m 22 and still in college so I haven’t started my career yet which will allow me to save a lot more. I’m doing an unpaid internship right now so I’m having to dip into savings. I will graduate with no student loans. I have about 50k in liquid and almost 500k in investments. I proabably have about 15-20k in Roth IRA. Fiance is 22, still in college but is a full time retail manager. He just had to pay for tuition so that dropped his savings, but luckily his company will reimburse him so he’ll have around 10k saved. He also just spent about 7Kish on my ring. He’s a finance major so when we graduate, we will be able to save a lot more aggressively. We also decided to take the money we would have spent on a wedding and go on a nice trip for our “weddingmoon.” We will be able to save for this more once we get our careers going soon!

Um, I have $50 in my drawer! Lol

Actually we have about $1500 in savings right now, which is almost enough to survive for a month if we need to. We’re both students, so a lot of our money comes from student loans. We had about $5000 left over after last semester, but that really doesnt count as savings. I have a plan for once we’re done school to pay off our loans quickly and then save a fair amount in a couple of years (based off of average starting wages for our chosen professions, I know that it may not work out as hoped).

This is a hard one! I’m 25.  I have about $25k in my 401k and $2k in savings. We would have a lot more, but we are ‘rebuilding’ after law school tuition.  Because we put money toward school, we only have $30k debt (vs $140k+ that most law school grads have…yikes). Wedding isn’t helping much, either, but we will be making bank after August LOL

Yeah I’m 27 and basically broke ($1000 in an emergency fund is all I’ve got other than 401k)… but I just bought my house last year. Had a lot more before that– but between down payment, closing costs, inspections, etc etc etc etc… oh my, nothing left!

I only have about $1000, SO has $15,000 in our early 30’s. We had waaay more before buying our house though, and unfortunately I also had to cash out my retirement savings when I lost my job last year.

HAHA reading this post just reminde me that we had a meeting with the people that handle our 401K at work.  This just happened last week and I just had a deposit for my medical reimbursement from last  year deposited into my account.  I was planning on spending it but I went in and transferred almost all of it into my savings.  I do not have anywhere near the 10K that some bees have here and I am 29… That sucks.  DH and I had 20k before the wedding and all of that went on the wedding and the our home.  Back to saving….
