    I’d say $100 at the minimum. If he were not a family friend, his services would likely cost $200-$250 or more.

    @rachels7683:  We were told that our synagogue $100 to $150 is typical.

    ours is 275, so at least 100

    I’d give $300, $500+ if he was a pastor/rabbi/etc.  Our officiant cost us $350 and I gave him a $100 tip on top of it.

    Ours was $650 plus I tipped.  I would probably give closer to $200.

    Ours was not a religious ceremony and our officiant charged $250. We tipped her an additional 20% of that.

    Ours was a friend of my aunts and he didn’t charge us a thing to do our wedding but if he had I think 100 is appropriate.

    I’m interested in this answer too!  In my budget, I put down $150 for my former pastor who will officiate the ceremony but I’m not sure exactly how much he’ll charge us.  I’m also inviting him and his wife to the reception.
