Why not just take a credit card and only a small amount of cash?

i usually take a couple hundred for a 2-3 day trip. i don’t like taking a whole lot of money with me because i’m so paranoid about losng it. there are atm’s in the park, so you can always get more cash if you need to or pay with a card.

have fun on your trip! i’ll be going to disneyland soon and i’ve never been there during the halloween season, so i’m really excited!

Oh goodness. Do you drink? I have planned our honeymoon and have a breakdown of prices for alcohol, an average cost for meals (even though we’re on the dining plan) to calculate tips, the price of towel hire at the water parks… EVERYTHING! All that comes to about $1000 for us for 15 days so you should be okay with $500. I also added in $100 to drink around the world showcase 🙂

We went to disneyland this summer for 3 days and we spent about 200.  Most of the expense was due to me needing a wheelchair because I hurt my knee.  I think you should be fine with 500!

I guess the meal ticket includes drinks in the park, etc.  Your hotel doesn’t have breakfast there?

I would suggest eating breakfast outside of Disney, because they don’t have much of a breakfast selection inside (when we go down we usually hit up the Worlds Biggest McDonalds, which is right there in Orlando).

I would think that five hundred should be more than enough, especially if you don’t drink (drinks will set you back 7-10 dollars apiece).  T-shirts aren’t ridiculous if you want to spend money on those, I think they are like 25 dollars, sweaters for maybe 60.  I usually don’t buy tons of souveniers, but I go to Orlando a lot, so bar Harry Potter World our only expense is food really.

I just got back from there actually! I’d plan on like $15-20 per day for breakfast and $50-100 for the lunch, depending on where you go. Most of our meals seemed to cost in the 60-80 range (we didn’t do a food plan). Other than food we really didn’t spend money on hardly anything. I bought a $13 glass owl from Japan in Epcot and my husband bought a tshirt from the ESPN store at boardwalk. But if you’re staying at the parks you have transport to/from the hotel and you don’t need to pay for anything in the parks except for food.

they’re is supermarkets that will deliver food for a small fee. I suggest using them to order a case of water (bring it in way cheaper!) and get a few small things for snacks and breakfast. if you don’t have a fridge just cool the water in buckets. you may agree the water from drinking fountains has a gross taste 🙂

$500 will be plenty! I’m going to Disney for a week in January and we’re bringing about that. Unless you’re planning to buy an awful lot of souveniers, you’ll be fine.

Oh I see!! Guess you are staying at one of the hotels onsite then?  How much fun!  I love Disney and their hotels!

You should still be totally okay for breakfast in the park, some of the restruants may have a breakfast served even (like I said we usually eat before going there, so I honestly don’t remember breakfast much!) But you should both be able to get food and coffee for $15 per person.  I think 500 will be plenty, still.

I don’t think they have starbucks at Disney, that’s the only bummer (unless I’ve just missed it all this time!)!! I would go with what some pp have said, and not take cash around.  I know that if you stay onsite they will give you a room key you can use as a credit card as well which is nice!

The dis boards are a great place to go for Disney info but a very common place to use is garden grocer. Like I said they have fees but then again it’s cheaper than renting a car or getting a cab!  Plus I think you can do your order ahead of time so you can enjoy your park time the most! Have fun!
