I wasn’t really sure if I should put this under gifts of photo… Hmmm
Long story short(ish):
I got Groupons for photo books, so each parent is getting a 8.5×11 landscape photobook, cloth bound with a photo on the front, between 40-60 pages per book (depending on family/# of pictures to work with) and they are costing me about $50 each when you include shipping… the books are worth quite a bit more than that.
So, these are (hopefully) going to be nice books. Haven’t seen them yet, but the company is very highly rated.
Now, my original idea was to also include a gift certificate with the book, so they could order a few prints along with the books.
I’m just trying to decide on how much. My initial instinct was either $25 or $50.
$25 would get them:
$50 would get them:
There are obviously a few other combinations, but that’s what I would see parents being most likely to purchase.
Now, our usual budget for parents is around $100 per parent set- his mom, his dad/step-mom, and my parents.
So, if it were you, would you err on the side of “Hey, I got a good deal” and just give $25 each, or on the side of “I’ve only spent half my budget so far” and give $50?
