My brother was adopted from Colombia, so we’re nothing alike.  We’re not even quite the same race.  I’m pale and blonde and have green eyes, and he’s got black hair and very tan skin and brown eyes.

Of course, when I was living in Japan, that didn’t stop people from seeing pictures of us and saying, “Oh, I can tell you’re related!  You two look identical!”

Definately me and my sister look alike. I went to the same school as her and the teachers new that I was her sister just by looking at me. This is an old picture of us, that’s the only I have on hand.

People always think my brother and I are “Together” if we’re hanging out because we look NOTHING alike.  He is very tan naturally and I’m very pale and blue eyed.

On the other hand, FI’s (much)younger brothers are clones of him and if we’re all together, people think Fiance and I are their parents.

Not at all! We’re sort of tan and dark haried, but so are a lot of people. We share some features, but not many.

My sister and I are 14 months apart. People would ask us if we are twins. We talk and sound alike, and when we call our mom, my mom will ask “Is this _ or _” she can’t tell us apart sometimes. We are very close. Growing up we were never envious of one another. We played well with one another, and stuck by one another. My parents always treated us the same, we never felt slighted by our parents we recevived the same amount of love and affection. High school was a pain in the ass because EVERYONE knew who we were including the teachers. My sister’s teachers adored my sister, and I used to get annoyed when they would say “You are so and so’s sister, you two look so much a like.”  I think they expected that I would have the same personality, but I was more reserved, and somewhat introverted. My sister is very bubbly and makes friends wherever she goes. She is the life of a party and has this presence that draws people toward her. There is just something about her, she just has this class about her that makes you want to say “That so and so is a really nice person and I want to be friends with her.” Looking back I always say “The things I know now I wish I knew back then.” I don’t think I appreciated her as my sister growing up, realizing that she was trying to teach me about life lessons, and this is why you do this and don’t do that. I looked at her as a pain in my ass, a monkey on my back and leave me alone and let me do what I want; My naivete and stubborness got in the way of realizing she was just being my sister. Now that I am 32 I am grateful for having the sister that I do. Even though she lives 1700 miles away we still close, and sometimes I think we are even closer. We talk on the phone everyday, and when she comes home it’s like she never left.

@Aure: you and your sister look a lot alike! Love the smile 🙂

I have an older brother and a younger sister, and me and my brother got mistaken for twins all the time growing up. Now, me and my sister get mistaken for twins, but she’s a couple inches taller with dark hair, and mine is light brown/dark blonde. So yeah, we all look alike.

I have three brothers and we all have the same eyes. I look a lot like the middle brother, there are a few characteristics with my youngest brother, but I really look the least like my twin brother. I would post a picture but I want to respect their privacy.

@MaiFuture: just fyi, if you ever want to post pics, but take them down later, just delete the pic ( when you open up the picture tab and go to the downloaded pics, the top right there is an arrow, click that and you can delete) and it will automatically pull it out of any thread you use it in. I just recently found out that you could do this, so I will usually posts pics for a short period, and then delete the pic

One of my sisters doesn’t even look related to us. The best part? They are twins! This is from the wedding. When people find out my parents had twins they assume me and the sister next to me are the twins. Blows their mind when they find out the other two are.
