    I actually voted on the $50-100, hahaha… I have such poll-weakness! I can’t NOT vote!

And I will admit, I voted before I did the math, and was pleasantly surprised. 🙂

If you want to include the fact that our guests are travelling to Mexico for us it’s about $1650 (discounted travel!) per person + $140 per person for wedding costs. Yikes!

We are looking to spend about 9K…not including rings, clothing, and accessories which we already have. We are budgeting for 80 guests, but hoping for 60. So ~$112 per person for everything.

We thought of this question of, if I had to add 8 extra seats (1 more table) at the reception then what was the additional cost.

    We included items such as:

    • STDS, Invites, Postage
    • Venue Fee
    • Catering Fee
    • Cake fee
    • Lines/other rentals
    • Centerpieces
    • Favors
    • etc.

For us it was fairly easy to calculate.

About $4 per person for invites and other paper goods

$25 pp venue fee including drinks

$50 pp for food and service

    $5 pp for cake

    $5 pp for centerpiece

    $2 per favor.

For us that came out to about $91 per person.  I’m sure there are some extra costs in there that probably bring that closer to about $100 per person.

Let’s see-for daughter’s wedding $5,000 for 65 people.  Where’s my calculator-it’s too early for me on the West Coast! lol!!  That included everything!! 🙂  Gorgeous budget wedding, if I do say so myself!! $77.00per person!  Lots of great things: Awesome venue, great food, great wine, dj, photographer, cake, and decor, great fun on a tight budget.  🙂

Wow, I’m already in the middle of planning, but haven’t really thought about this.  I’m going to have to get my spreadsheets out tonight and figure it out.  My wedding is in a small town, so I should come in under $70pp!!  Still, that’s a lot!!

I don’t like doing the math that way!  Our hotel pp fee was really great for our area $72pp, plus linens, dj, everything…it would be more like $200!  A huge chunk is my dress, and bridal party gifts though…

Hmm.. good question! I just got an update from the catering manager of our resort.  Ours breaks down to: $166 PP..

This does include the venue fee/ceremony fee/all food, beverage, wedding cake, gratuities, bartender and butler fees, etc…

Food and drinks were around $23 per person.  Now, the 5 kids plates were less than the 8 adults plates, but the adults had alcohol whereas the kids didn’t.  So, there you have it.  I think we paid around $300 for our reception dinner.  Of course, we walked into our favourite restaurant and asked for a table for 13 … so it wasn’t quite the traditional reception!

That total includes the gratuity and sales tax, too!   And we paid the bill!

25K / 135ppl = 185.18pp… Yikes.. I voted for $50-100 though because I only figured in food, alcohol and cake.

Wow this thread: makes me sad and a little sick lol.

My signature phrase when making the guest list with my family/fiance was “Do we $80 a person like them”. Thats the cost per person at my venue for food & alchohol after tax and gratuity.

After doing the math I should have said “do we $137 a person like them”… had i come to this thread earlier I could have made A LOT more cuts lol.

We’re looking at around $85 per person but thats only because our venue includes pretty much everything that we need for our reception (short of upgraded linens and centerpieces) into our per person cost.
