I’m feeling overwhelmed by cake shopping and insecure that I’m being ripped off. Would love to hear from fellow brides how much your paying and a photo please? My last quote was $3 per person and theres barely any decoration for that price 🙁

My cake was about $5 per person. I paid about $1K for it (200 people) and purchased the crystal banding separately myself.

@futureMrs.L: Wow, that’s gorgeous!
Here’s ours. I’m not sure if we paid a per person price for it. We just told them approx 75 guests, we had plenty left over. It was $400 including delivery and set up.

We had a fake cake:
and then guests were served mini cakes:
and it was $2 per person. It was supposed to be three, but our venue knocked dollar off the price for us.

This was ours… it was $225 for this cake which served around 185-200. It wasn’t that extravagant looking…by the time we got there, it was actually slanted a bit…but it was sooo yummy so we didn’t really care.

$500 because it’s hand painted but her cakes this size are normally $300 and it feeds 150 people not including the top. Just over $3 a person.

I havent had my wedding yet but my cake will be about $75/80. Feeding 30 ppl at 2.35 a slice with delivery fee.

I believe mine was like $2.50 a slice. And we had filling in each layer as well. And we ordered an extra sheet instead of doing a 4th tier. It was cheaper than adding another tier. And one more layer would’ve put us at too many slices. So, the sheet cake was a good middle ground! It ended up being around $300 total. A little less, actually.

I’m doing cupcakes and they will be $25 a dozen. I like the idea of everyone having an individual sized dessert that doesn’t need to be cut and served. Plus, I’ll have three flavors to choose from.

$15 per serving but this is New York. But we are having tons of sugar flowers and having only 60 guests so it’s not too bad.
