I don’t like to judge whether what other people are feeling is valid but based on your previous diagnosis I would suggest mentioning it to your dr. Personally I’m on month 10 and it’s definitely a bummer when AF shows up and I have some anxiety about being infertile but I wouldn’t say it overly interferes with my day.

I did! I was on meds for depression/anxiety/OCD and I tapered off of them for TTC. The first 6 months were hell – I was a complete basket case for days. After that, I went back to my doctor, and she put me on a fairly low dose of anti-depressants. The ones I’m on are the most “safe” for pregnancy. Since its been 14 months, I know that if I had been off medication for the whole time, I would be a wreck. For me, it is safer to stay on the medication, and taper off once I get pregnant (if necessary).

Definitely talk to your doctor though. I’m certainly not a licensed medical professional.

I’m so sorry it’s effecting you this much emotionally! I personally am having a hard time when AF comes but I move on and know it will happen in Gods time.

May I ask if you went off of you meds on your own or with your doctors help? You may need a low dose until you become pregnant. My SIL didn’t stop taking her medication completely until she found out she was pregnant (with both her boys).

@knittylady:  Glad I could help! I know personally I’m on Prozac, and its considered one of the ‘safer’ drugs, because its been around so long. I hope you get some answers soon!

I have anxiety and depression and am off meds for TTC and it is really difficult. I am OK most of the time. The two week wait is the hardest for me because I vascillate between the high of thinking I could be pregnant and the low of thinking that I won’t ever get pregnant. I’m 11DPO today and I had to go to urgent care because I was having heart palpitations that were probably anxiety related. 😛

If you can’t seem to get a handle on your sadness, definitely talk to your doctor.

*hugs*
