My Fiance is a groomsmen in one of his friends weddings in October of this year. Today I got the invitation in the mail for the bridal shower and was wondering what would be an acceptable amount of money to spend on gifts from her registry? Depending on what bar items I choose (wine glasses, champagne flutes, etc)…the price will change a little but..
Is $90-$120 enough considering that my Fiance is in the wedding party (even though I think the bride is great and we get along great, she is not one of my close friends or anything.)
Also, I would like to include something not on her registry as a gift in addition to her registry gifts. If anyone has any cute ideas…

I think the price range you cited above sounds fine.

I usually spend around $50 on shower gifts and another $100-150 for wedding gifts depending on how close I am to them.

I think $90-$120 is MORE than enough. I usually only spend between $30 and $40 on a shower gift.

You are planning to spend around $100 plus give a gift at the wedding? That’s pretty generous. I usually spend $20 to $30 on a shower gift and give a cash gift at the wedding.
My husband was recently in a wedding that cost us a lot of money (2 nights in a very expensive hotel) plus $200 tux rental and a few hundred for a bachelor party. We are both close with trhe couple but we actually gave less than we have given other friends because of that.

I would get something around $200 from both of you for the wedding, but since the shower gift is from you and you aren’t close, $100 is plenty! As the bride, I’d probably surprised at that much!

Shower gifts are typically smaller or less expensive than wedding gifts. A $90 shower gift is quite generous.
