I just posted earlier about officiant questions but here’s another one.
Our officiant married Future Sister-In-Law, her SIL whose married to officiants son. If that all makes sense… basically he’s done stuff within the family in the past.
He told us tonight that he doesnt charge but if we want to thank him in some way we can.
How much should we pay him? Should we pay him cash? gift cards?
We’re meeting with him next Friday (the 12th) to discuss the wedding.

Ask your Future Sister-In-Law and SIL what they did and use that as your guide. Our officiant is not charging us anything either, but we are going to put aside 1 or 2 hundred dollars for him as a gift and we are inviting him to be at the reception.

- Wedding: March 2009 - Byodo-In Temple, Luau Reception
My Officiant charged $250 for her services, so I would think $100-200 would be good. I would just give him cash, in an envelope with a nice note. :o)
