I am CONSTANTLY tired. I always feel fatigued, moody, grumpy and like i’m only running at 50% capactiy.
I get about 7 hours sleep a night. I think I need more.
My Darling Husband goes to bed at midnight and is up by 6/7am and is fine! It annoys him I am always so tired!
So, how much sleep do you get and is it enough?

I HAVE to get eight hours a night. I’m recovering from Post-Viral Fatigue Syndrome so I really, really have to get enough sleep or I’ll end up back to being unable to get out of bed.

@dannielle89: FI is the same way. He could go to bed at midnight or a little later and be fine to go to work the next morning. I need at least 6-7 hours though. 8 works too, but anything over that – I feel absolutely horrible.

I get about 5 a night, sometimes less. When I’m stressed out I don’t sleep. I’ve tried melatonin, which helps, but you have to take it at the same time or it will mess with your sleep cycles. Recently I bought a pillow from ThinkGeek that has a heartbeat. Your heart slows down and syncs with it. It’s really helped me get to sleep lately.

@Aure: Wow. I may need to buy this for myself to give it a shot.

I get 8-9 hours a night and STILL feel overly tired most of the time. I go to bed anytime between 10:30pm and 11:30pm each night and wake up at 7:30am.

@Rouquine: I love it. Fiance was blown away by how fast I zonked out when I first got it. I’m going to get my dad one for Christmas, too.

@Aure: I’m really impressed. I have a horrible time falling asleep. There’s times where I’ll have anxiety where my heart and mind are racing. Thanks for sharing!

I get six to 7 and it is most certainly not enough. 9 would honestly be ideal.

I really need 8 hours of sleep ATLEAST. I prefer 9 😀

I get anywhere from 2 to 5 hours of sleep everynight… I have terrible insomnia but I’m not usually tired during the day. Every once in a while I crash hard and sleep in till someone wakes me up though… that happens once or twice a month and I end up getting 7 or 8 hours of sleep then. I think that usually happens after a lot of running around a lot of stress or when a sickness is coming on.

I sleep a TON. Husband and I are convinced that I simply require more sleep than other mortals because I am otherwise healthy and in decent shape.
On weekdays i get about 9 hours. On the weekends I can easily sleep 10 and if I don’t, I need a nap in the afternoon.

I don’t have a preference really. Some days I sleep for 11 hours and other like 5 hours. I live with typical Argentines ( some in the 60 years + range) who eat dinner at 10:30 pm and are up chatting and listening to music till 3:30 without batting an eye- Like its totally normal. People in that country never sleep, its cray cray.
I can go to bed at 1 AM and get up at 7 comfortably.
My most usual is 2 AM to 930 AM.

On the weekends, definitely nine hours, but during the week, I ideally like to get eight hours. Last night was a different story though. Darling Husband and I got a little frisky (lol) before we planned to go to bed. Afterwards, he went right to sleep, and I couldn’t. :/ Wide awake for about two more hours. Does this ever happen to anyone else? I was a little sleepy all day today, but hey, it’s all worth it, haha. 🙂
