Between your neckline and hair?
My Fiance says he loves me with my hair up, I also have naturally cury hair and do not want to straighten it for my wedding day, so I’ve always thought I would wear my hair something like this:
However at my first fitting I tried out the look and now I’m not sure…
The dress doesn’t fit right in the photo, so please excuse the armpit cleavage. I’m hoping that once it does fit properly it’ll sit a little higher. But I feel like there’s something weird about the space between my neckline and hair?
Do you think I should try out different hairstyles? Do you think I should try to wear the bun lower and in the center? Does it look normal and I’m just being critical?
Also don’t you love my bouquet? haha! It’s my nephew’s bath toy haha!

You have a broad forehead. Can you soften the look by bringing some hair forward?

Gahh i love your dress! so romantic, who is it by??
It looks different from the photo just because she has a collared shirt on. It’s still really pretty, but you’re right – there is a lot of space – but I don’t mean that in a bad way!
If you’re concerned, like you suggested, try wearing it lower – or another hairstyle that falls lower.
But you do look gorgeous as is!

@julies1949: I think I will have to try that next fitting…. I just wanted to pull it back because usually when I where it in a pony or bun I part it.
@sunkissed19: Thanks. It’s actually a “no name” dress… Forever yours 411203. I hate HUGE dress regret (the stock photo didnt help!) thinking that I should have gone with something more like the Mori Lee 5108 (mermaid) But now I think I love my dress again, because really, when can you ever wear a giant poufy dress again?
I think for my next fitting I might try wearing the bun lower and at the back.
Do you think if I part it the veil will look weird??

@AllieBee12: Aw I think the dress is beautiful! It’s definitely got poof – I love it!
I think it’ll look totally fine with a part – especially with the look you’re going for – it looks like you have nice, thick hair. And the hairstyle is loose so it’s not like the part would be severe/hair slicked down on your head. You’re going to look gorgeous!
But might want to ditch the bath toy…

a statement necklace could also reduce that expanse of skin, and basically create a new “neckline” to balance it out for the eye.
