planning on paying for bridesmaids hair ($80-100), makeup ($80-100) and i have 6 bridesmaids and not sure how much to spend on an actual gift as it is already getting expensive. would love to take them out for mani/pedi during wedding weekend and something else like a nice robe or clutch but the costs are quickly adding up to well over $1000 total
how much did you spend on your bridesmaids, gifts +/- other bridal party treatments?

So far I’ve spent less than $10 per girl (I have 8). 2 of the gifts are DIY (jewelery and hanger). The bag I got from Bed, Bath and Beyond for $2.50. I’m going to put a few more goodies in their bags. I have a friend who does make-up so she’s going to do it for all of us. (BTW, those aren’t my hangers…just an example pic)

i had 7 girls so it was tough to spend much on each one! i think my gifts (2 gold and gem bangle bracelets and a hair band) ended up being about $60 each. plus i contributed about $230 towards the dress cost for a few of them who needed help with it. i didn’t ask them to get their hair or makeup done, and some people got their own mani/pedis before the weekend but not all.

so far i have only spent 25. i have gotten each of them their hairpieces (DIY) and their hoisery to wear with their dress. i plan on also getting them each a cocktail ring and a pair of earrings. plan to spend 60 each, but i have 7 girls.

I only have 1 bridesmaid, and I will probably spend $50-$100. I’m glad we are having a small wedding party because the gift costs add up! I know I sound like I’m cheap (lol) but I have a small budget to begin with. But if I were a bridesmaid I think I would rather get something more tangible and longer lasting than hair and makeup. Why don’t you ask your girls which they would prefer?

You need a 0-50 range… That said, I’m spending almost exactly $50 each (a jewelry set and a gift basket from Bath & Body Works.) I might also do pedis for them, but that’s it.

I have 5 girls – I am also getting my girls hair/makeup/nails for day of. for goodies, i got them small travel set of lotions/soaps/gel from L’Occitane (had an amazing deal on black friday, $10 each – amazing since usually one lotion is $10!) I’m also planning on getting them each a necklace….I’d like to keep it as low as possible but still be nice.

@cyneswith – thanks for pointing that out – i tried to add a <$50 option but for some reason it’s not showing!
thanks for all of the responses, it is really helpful!

Mine will be around $50 per bridesmaid as well (I have 6) — I’m buying them each a pseudo-pashmina shawl to wear during the ceremony, and I’ll probably be DIYing some totebags to hold the shawl and a few other goodies whenever I hand them out.

I spent about $170 on them. When I asked them to be my Bridesmaid or Best Man I took them to a nice lunch, bought them all a little books “Bridesmaid’s Guide”, and for the wedding I bought them monogrammed robes and paid for their makeup.

I think I will be about $35 each. I am doing a tote bag with flip flops, towel wraps, earings, necklace and a few other small little things.

Ooops you don’t have the option I need… I spend $25 and get her a pair of 6mm white fresh water pearl earrings with 18k white gold 🙂

@Nola: where did you buy the tote bag and towel wraps?! I want to do the exact same gifts – about $35 each with tote bags full of the same items but can’t seem to spend under $50 doing that..help! 🙂
