My job is closed the actual day of our wedding so I took off that Wednesday and Thursday. We are getting married on a Friday and its Veteran’s Day.

We have to travel, so we are taking Wed, Thurs, and Fri off before the Saturday wedding. I might even take the Tues off because ideally I’d like us to leave Tuesday night. Thank god for vacay time!

I am taking off the Wed-Friday before our Saturday wedding but plan on going back on the Tuesday after (since FH’s family from overseas will be staying with us and with his parents, I will WANT to go back to work).  Our honeymoon is the week after that so i’m taking more time off then.  One thing someone suggested to me is to keep a few sick days/holiday days spare in case the DIY stuff or (as mentioned above) emergencies pop up and you need to take time off.

I’m taking off on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday beforehand-but depending on how work is I might just take Thursday/Friday.

My goal (haha!) is to have most projects done by the weekend before.  There will be tons of other stuff to run around doing on WTF, so I’d rather not spend it tying bows on programs. 🙂

I’m taking off a week before the wedding and then two weeks after for our honeymoon! 🙂 I can do that though because I’m part-time/temp and don’t have to worry about vacation days or anything. I won’t get paid for those three weeks but that’s okay with me! I’d rather have the time off.

I think Fiance is only taking off Friday. When he asked me if that was okay he said “I’ll only need a day right, it’s not like we’ll have a ton of stuff to do” Right. lol

I’m working a full/longer than normal day on Monday and Tuesday.  I’ll work 3/4’s of a day on Wednesday (doctor appt in the afternoon) and a half day on Thursday.  I have enough vacation to take more, but the way my works goes, I really can’t take more than a week off or I end up really overloaded.

@HappyCrickets: I also have the benefit of a school break over our wedding 🙂

We’re getting married Dec. 3 – our winter break is 6 weeks long, from Thanksgiving through New Years, so we’ll have the full week between Thanksgiving and the wedding to do final projects, and a nice long break after for the honeymoon and the Christmas holiday!

My wedding is on a Friday and I’m taking Wed/Thurs/Fri off. Then also Monday & Tuesday the following week for relaxation and recovery! We’re doing our honeymoon next winter.

We are taking a week off before the wedding. We are going to do all our own flowers, and some other diy projects. We also are going to be taking care of our horses, so that will cut into our time.
