We spent an hour on pictures after the cermony, and about 20-30 minutes before for first looking and a few portriat and wedding party pictures.

we did our formal pics before the ceremony, because I didnt’ want to keep my bridal party from the cocktail hour. the photographer just took hubs and me out to do some “just married” portraits after the ceremony.

However, I had set aside about an hour and a half for formals, which should have been pleny of time. BUT my makeup artist moved slow as molasses, so we were late getting to the venue. Then when we finally started, we wanted a big group shot of our families and bridal party on this beautiful stairwell, and my 87 year old grandfather fell and cut his hand open. So what Im trying to say, is give yourself more time than you think, even if that means doing formals before the ceremony. We ended up with only about 45 minutes of formals, and definitely missed some pics I would have liked to have.

We did about 2-3 hours of photos before the ceremony – I know, it sounds like a lot, but we covered pretty much all of our bride/groom photos, bridal party, most of our family.  It really allowed us to enjoy the cocktail hour with our guests!

About an hour for the formal family shots, bridal party and bride/groom photos.

We also did the majority of the pictures before the ceremony. We made sure we had PLENTY of time, so we slotted 4 hours of time before-hand. In that time we did the First Look, my whole family, and the bridal party and 99% of the bride/groom shots. But, we also had driving time to get to the different locations to slot in as well. We did manage to have a half hour to relax right before we had to leave to get to the ceremony, which I’m quite glad we had so us and our bridal party could just all hang out and calm the nerves some more before we walked down the aisle. We did his family after the ceremony, and that only took 15min or so. We did a couple more bride/groom shots after supper as well.
