Between our wedding and honeymoon I’ll be unavailable to work for 2 weeks, I deliberately scheuduled our wedding to coincide with the summer closure at my work so I’m actually only taking 4 days off. I do feel a bit bad for my coworkers as the week leading up to the closure is very stressful in terms of prep. If I had chosen to take the full two weeks actually off the schedule my bosses would have made it work but it would have been a rough two weeks (I work in daycare so subs=stranger danger with the babies). I’ve been there about 3 years.

Tachetetreasures:  1 day, I had been working 2 1/2 months at my job. They hired me knowing I was getting married and going on a 2 week honeymoon, paid me for it and gave me a gift. I love the company I work for and my bosses. My boss was encouraging me to take off ajd I was like no, dont worry its fine and then when I finally came to him and told him I think im gonna take the day, he laughed and said good, I am glad you came to your senses.

Is crazy bc I was lucky to have found this job when I did. I was stuck at a horrible job, horrible boss and company but more so my direct boss. He was verbally abusive and I was depressed. I called uo my employment agent who helped me get this job and I explained to her what was going on and she worked her butt off to get me the job I have today and I am very grateful. Its a blessing in disguise. And I am thankful for my current job for being so understanding of the wedding and honeymoon. This July will mark 2 years I am with them

I did not actually take time off for my wedding BUT it was during a break from school (I’m a professor) so I had 1 month off before and 1 month off after.

I’m doing a half shift the Thursday before, off Friday (Wedding Saturday) and then taking off 2 full work weeks for our Honeymoon to Greece! Fiance owns his own buisness so he is basically shutting down operations for our wedding and honeymoon too!

Tachetetreasures:  I start my new job Monday 🙂 I am taking off 7 days. Im still working with the federal government so all of my vacation time will transfer to the new job. I have been government for over 10 years- Air Force for 6 and then ssa for 4.5 years. I did agree to go out of state for two weeks before the wedding if they want me to for my first part of my job training. Everyone thinks I’m crazy but I appreciate being hired and would definitely want to make it work if they want me to go.

I own my own business so taking time off is not too much trouble, because I have employees I can trust. I plan to take 3 weeks off for wedding and honeymoon.

I took off 3 weeks total including the honeymoon, I’d been at my company for almost 2 years as a full time employee and had done 2 summer internships before that.

No one gave me a hard time at all, it was perfect because I had enough time before the wedding to deal with last minute details without the stress of work and a fabulous honeymoon afterwards.

I took 2 days off before my wedding to finish wedding stuff and to go to the spa and then another week off to go on my honeymoon. I had been at my company for about 5 years then, and no one gave me any problems at all about taking time off for my wedding.  My boss was very supportive and my whole department was awesome.  Some of my co-workers offered to finish last minute work things for me so I wouldn’t have to worry about things.  It was great.

Getting married on a Saturday, my last day is the Tuesday before. I need time to make drop offs and pick up and get myself in order. I will be taking 13 vacation days. I’ll be gone from work about 3 weeks. I’ve been at my job for almost 5 years, and if we have the time and it’s not a time where we are being reviewed, we can do what we like with it.

My boss is really easygoing and I don’t normally take time off unless I need it. I rarely call out.

Taking off the Friday before a Saturday wedding and 2 weeks after for a mini stay action.  I have been at my job for 20 years and my bosses have been awesome.

I’m taking a week and two days worth of work time. I’ll take off the Thursday before, Friday would’ve been my off day anyway, and then the following entire following week through the Monday after that.

I’ll have worked there 4 years in August. No one gave me any trouble.
