    Typically, it’s a month.

I would backtrack from when final guest count is due to your venue/caterer. Then give yourself another week on top of that to hunt missing RSVPs. I would use that as your RSVP date for your last batch of invites.

Give your guests probably 2 weeks to decide?

Also, did you do Save The Dates for your A list? If you did they probably have an idea already of if they plan on coming or not. In that case you can probably chop the 2 weeks deciding timeframe down to 1-1.5 weeks.

i had just about month for guests to RSVP – i got super busy around the holidays and didnt sent out invitations till right before new years – we asked for them back on feb 1st for our feb 12th wedding – it was not problem and we recieved all most all of them back prior to the deadline. plus we had sent out save dates so that kind of helped i think

You should add weeks to your poll. I sent mine out Monday and I put on the cards to have them back to me by April 1st. So almost 3 weeks

We had planned to give one month, but I was in the hospital and it ended up being more like 2.5-3 weeks. If you sent out a save the date it seems unnecessary to give them as long as 6 weeks.

If I had a ‘B’ list, then I would send the first batch out 8 weeks ahead of time, and give them two weeks to respond.  I think that’s plenty of time.  I mean, how long does it take to write on the RSVP and mail it back, especially since the stamp is on it.  Then, at the six week mark, I would mail out the second batch.

PS.  Make sure to change the deadline date for the A batch and B batch.
