hi bees! i’m just curious to know how much time is common to take off for wedding + honeymoon? i need more time off before the wedding than is probably usual due to my whole family coming from out of town, but i still want a decent chunck off time alone with the new hubby.

I voted for 3 weeks, but really it’s like 2.5 — 2 for the honeymoon, the 0.5 for wedding stuff.
We live in AZ, but having the wedding in CA, so we plan on flying out to CA the Sunday before our Saturday wedding, and work from my dad’s house for a few of the days. The days I’ll have to take off will be to meet with the DJ and florist one last time, the day before the wedding when I take my girls out and do the rehearsal, etc.

I’m taking the day before and the next two weeks off for honeymoon and recovering/organinzing apartment since we currently don’t live with each other. I’d like to take more off but winters get nasty here and my commute will be much longer now and I might have to take a day(s) off.

I’ll prob take 1.5-2 weeks total

I am taking 3 weeks exactly. 2 or 3 days before the wedding (3 days before is my bday so I figure I might as well just aim for 3) and two weeks for the honeymoon. I am giving myself 2 days when we get back off as well so I can just relax and work on house stuff/unpacking.

I voted 2 weeks (10 work days total). I am taking off three days off from work before the wedding and then 7 work days after the wedding.

Total time off is about 2.5 weeks.
September 29 is my last day in the office and I return on October 18. Just 2 days before the wedding and the rest is honeymoon/relaxation.
Oh I cannot wait to shut off the blackberry and not have to think about work….5 more months…
