I took off a week before and 2 weeks after.  I was planning on working a few days the week before, but we had Out of Town guests come in early and ended up having plans.

I will likely take off a few days before hand, then all of our honeymoon and probably a few days after our honeymoon. When it’s all said and done it may well be 3 weeks depending on if we do a 2 week Honeymoon.

I took of 2 days before and 3 days after. We did a litle mini moon a couple hours away from home, actually at the resort the wedding was held at. DH only took off that Friday and 3 days after. I thought if I took anymore time off I would be more anxious, almost everything was done way a head of time so there really wasnt much to do except the flowers.

I took off 4 days for our wedding (Tuesday through Friday – married on Friday) and 6 days for our Honeymoon. I could have gotten away with just 5 days off for our Honeymoon but I didn’t want to get home and have to go right back to work the next day. Having an extra day to relax and unwind was crucial!

I also agree with Joy2011, though I just took one day off a few weeks prior. There’s only so much that you can get done on the weekends when other distractions are going to pull you away. Having that Wednesday that I took off a few weeks before was a life saver! It allowed me to check so much stuff off my list without having to deal with the normal weekend crap (more traffic, more people EVERYWHERE, more headaches).

My wedding is Sat July 14, I’m taking off Thu and Fri before and the whole two weeks after, so I’m off the 12-27 total. The only thing that sucks is I’m starting a new job in two weeks and I don’t get any vacation for my first year so I have to take the time unpaid. Oh well, totally worth it!

I took a day and a half before the wedding and a week after for the honeymoon.  What did all you brides do with yourselves with a week off before your wedding?  I worked to help pass the time.

4 weeks!

2 weeks before the wedding and 2 weeks after (for honeymoon)

I’ve been saving up my PTO and could actually take longer- but I don’t want to use it ALL!

I work in a school, but I’m a speech therapist, so I don’t need a sub.  I think I’m going to take off 2 days before, and two days after.  We’re going on our honeymoon in the Summer!

The week before, plus 2 days the week before that (so thurs/fri then a full week) plus the week after for our mini moon and family visits.  So 2 weeks and 2 days!  But i am not getting paid for part of it.

The week before, and the week after so 14 days. We’re leaving for our honeymoon monday morning after our Sat. wedding though. I also work part time so taking time off druing the summer wasn’t a big deal though.
