I took off Wed-Fri before the wedding and the Monday after. Our honey was a couple weeks later over Thanksgiving and I took off 5 days for that

Two and a half weeks. The wednesday before the wednesday so I have a couple days to run around for last minute things. Then two weeks for the honeymoon! I can’t wait!

I took a full week off before the wedding, and then three days after for our mini-moon. We’re going on a real honeymoon in September so I will be taking probably 1-2 weeks off for that then as well.

We both only took the day before the wedding off. When people saw us at work on Monday they were all confused. LOL. But we left for our honeymoon the following Friday so we had to work those extra 4 days to pay for the wedding and honeymoon!

I’m lucky enough to work with kids so my hours/schedule is Sept-June and school hours so I will have the entire summer off.  My last day of work is June 7th and we get married on July 1st.  I’m planning to work a little bit (maybe 10 hours/week) starting about a week or two after our honeymoon.  I won’t be going back to work full time until late August or early September.

I’m taking two full weeks off!  It never fails, December rolls around and I always lose a week or two of vacation time (definitely a workaholic).  Using two weeks for the wedding should help to eat that up a bit.  At least this way, I only need to worry about finding three additional vaca weeks sometime during the year.

I got married on a Friday and took the full week before and after the wedding off.  I had so much family coming in to town that I wanted to see before, and then left for the honeymoon the day after our wedding.  I would have barely seen people that came a long way for anything beyond a tableside chat if not for that.

Luckily for me – I work 3 nights a week.  I’ll be working my three 12s the weekend before and two of them count for the new week.  So, if I work four 12s, then I can be done with my work week on October 8th and wouldn’t have to return until October 29th.  =)

ETA: I am only using a total of 6 PTO days so it ends up being 2 weeks for me.

I;m a teacher so I will have the summer off but Fiance is taking 1 week off before and probaby a couple of days after the wedding. We are postponing the honeymoon as school starts up about two weeks later or so!

3 weeks! The week before and 2 weeks after. I have use or lose and I’m hogging it all up for the wedding plus the week off at Chistmas. I’m taking some time off around the 4th of July too. Fiance will probably only take off one or two weeks. Not sure yet.

wow! Props to you ladies taking so much time off! I will have the week before off and then the rest of the summer… a teacher perk… but my Fiance will only take off the day before and 2 days after off but our hotel is like .2 miles from his store so I am not at all doubting some of his work being done. I booked 2 days at the Westin St. Francis in SF with a water view after the reception…still not sure if we will have a honeymoon so this is our mini:)

Wow I’m jealous of all you bees who get to take time off!  I think I’m going to TRY to swing Thursday and Friday before the wedding, and the Tuesday after (Monday’s a holiday).  So 3 days total?  I’ll be a teacher by the time the wedding is, so I can’t take too much time off.  We’re not having the wedding in the summer because my Fiance will be starting residency 4 weeks after the wedding!
