OKAY so, my hair/makeup girl insisted, that for me and 6 bridesmaids and 2 moms, for a 2pm first look, we had to start at 8am.  We started at 8:30, and were still 15-20 minutes late!

@pengoala:  Wow, really? My hair and makeup people said that for 2pm photos we need to start at 10am with me, two bridesmaids, and just hair for my mom and I’m like, really? I just don’t understand how things take that long. Can you give details? Like were you all busy for that entire time, or what? I get access to the venue at 10am, and want to you know, decorate a bit before being immobalized by hair and makeup.

I’m really concerned that I’m going to be in a dress and veil, tying ribbons and setting up a candy buffet without messing up my makeup or being see by the groom…

Whoa now you ladies just freaked me out! Mines at 9am and I need to leave by 12pm to get to the venue at 1 to finish decorating and get dressed and eat and have or rehearsal before our 1st look at 3 (which can’t be pushed back because the ceremony starts at 4:30 and guests will begin arriving at 4)….. oh no. I have to geet my hair and makeup, my grandmother is getting her hair and makeup done, my sister is getting her hair done and my Flower Girl is getting her hair done.

Well, keep in mind that I had 6 bridesmaids and 2 Moms for hair and makeup, and then of course, myself.  We all got into the hotel at 8am, and by the time everything was set up and ready to start, it was about 8:30.

At 8:30 she began with curling my hair then she just wanted me to hang out for the next few hours.  Then she and her assistant (2 of them total) began working on hair and makeup for my 6 bridesmaids from about 9-12:30 or so.  Moms showed up around 12:30 and the assistant did their hair/makeup.  Meanwhile, Around 11:30 my girl put me in the chair to start my makeup and a half hour later my hair.  That took up until about 1:30 to finish my hair, makeup, and get me into the dress!  It was super cray cray!

There was definitely a lot of downtime for us girls, given that there were 2 of them and 9 of us!

I think both of your schedules sound fine.  I wouldn’t worry about it!! 🙂

We have three hours for all of us to get ready. I am hoping that will be more than enough time cause seriously that is a looooong time to be primping!

We’re starting at 9:00a to be ready by 2:30p. It’s mainly because I hired a solo make-up artist so we have to take turns.

@FloretteLiz:  I’m sure you’ll be too excited to sleep until 10 anyway!
