What time are you asking her to arrive? I’m assuming a little before 8. Let’s call it 7:30. She’ll be there till midnight, so…4.5 hours. She’ll have 6 kids total.

I’d give her $100. That’s generous but not over the top.

    I’d pay $100 or more.

For 6 kids for 4.5 hours – I agree with the PPs about $100 being reasonable.

I’d probably go over a $100. Six kids is a lot and if you’re talking 3 hours, I’d probably do $125.

I would give her at least $150. Thats alot of kids at one time. I have 2 kids ages 4 and 2 and they’re hard to keep up with.

I don’t think that’s enough.  We’re paying our babysitter $200 to watch 4 kids (1 three year old, 3 two year olds) for four hours.  Kids have short attention spans and it’s a lot of work for one person to keep that many kids occupied at once.

I agree that for one person, it needs to be at least $100-$150.  Is there any possibility of having two sitters and paying each $75-$100?  With the two younger children, the sitter could be tied up with them (and then the other children won’t be supervised).

You’re looking at 18 kid-hours. If she was watching a single kid, she’d make babysitting pay for each of those hours.

I say 100 is not enough. Kids are INSANE. I love them, but they act like they’re drunk ALL THE TIME.

I am a Nanny and I would pay over 100 to make it worth her while. And those are a lot of tough ages to watch at once.
