I paid a grand total of $0 for my dress (before alterations).  For all of you military brides out there, you should check out Brides Across America.  It’s a wonderful organization helping military couples (usually on a string shoe budget) plan the wedding of their dreams, starting with the dress!  Last veteran’s day a local bridal store partnered with Brides Across America to give away 30 dresses.  All we had to do was provide our fiancée’s recent deployment papers to qualify.  I was so lucky and grateful to receive a gorgeous fit and flare Demetrio’s gown!

My dress was $1500 – but I’m not sure how much alterations are going to run me yet!

Mine is an Augusta Jones sample, so it cost just under 1000 without alterations. It was originally around 3k (I think), so I got a great deal! Also, it’s in perfect condition and only needs a few alterations.

My dress was 400.00 before alterations. I think it was a good purchase because I put money down for a dress that was 200 more and I really didn’t love the dress.

i didnt intend to be a two dress bride……but nevertheless thats what i am,  my first dress was £165  and the secoond dress was £102…..both replicas.

i think i will probably only wear dress #2  though,  cos dress#1  came in the wrong colour.

I paid only $379 for my wedding dress but I must say my dress was a replica of an original piece.  The dress I wanted was originally $2000 in stores and that did not include tax and alterations so I knew I was looking at over $2000.  I purchased my dress on bigdaydress.com.  They remake the dress and ship it from China.  There has been a lot of debate on ordering dresses from China at really cheap prices.  Listen, I can’t speak for some of the other sites because I didn’t order from them but bigdaydress is the business.  They did an amazing job.  The made it exactly like the original piece.  You will never tell the difference.  And the best part is I only paid $379.  The best wedding decision I ever made.  In fact, there are several bees on this site that also bought they’re dress from bigdaydress and had nothing but good things to say about it.  I highly recommend and I told my friend who is getting married in October about it too. She loved my dress and her jaw just dropped when I told her how I got it.
