After a recommendation from friends, we hit eBay hard to look for an e-ring. Ended up with an antique art deco ring for $1600. It is a .57 carat J color diamond (I’m weird, I like the “buttery” color of J-L), VS1, with genuine baguette sapphires for the halo. The setting is platinum and has 6 very small rose cut diamond chips in the band. If you are on a budget, I highly recommend going the eBay route. The 2k we saved on the ring is now going towards the honeymoon. For reference the ring has a 10mm face and my finger is a sz6

Mine’s a 1.11 cushion cut diamond center, w/.25 on the platinum band. I think the center was just under 6k, the setting was $1,300 or $1,500, I forget. It’s a G color VS2 clarity, GIA graded.

Appraised at $6000 (0.7 center stone, ~1.1 total, platinum and diamond) but it’s a family heirloom, so FREE! 🙂  He did pay about $300 to get it resized and to have the platinum prongs rebuilt a little after 100 years of wear.

We got ours for a steal. A family friend owns a pawn shop. It’s a Tacori 2202 with a .53 RB K in color VS1 with tons of sparkle. We paid $650 including having it resized.

Have it custom made in a “frender” store in Asia.  Converted to $9200 CAD

My Fiance paid $4500-ish for my diamond and setting. Center stone is .91 ct, H, VVS2; the other stones bring it up to just under 2.5 tcw. All GIA certified and was actually appraised at $10k. I love it!
