    @leeli5a88:  your ring is beautiful!
    Hubby spent about 5k on my ering? It’s an EC in a platinum halo setting. We didn’t have a ton of money when we got engaged, and sometimes I find myself dreaming of a new ring. But honestly I haven’t worn my rings for the last year working from home, and now with a baby on the way I can’t picture us spending a lot of money on a ring. Maybe someday though!

    @thecleverfoxgirl:  Thank you! I know rose gold is no longer the trend it was, and I will say my ring gets dirty/cloudy quickly, but it’s very me and I’m very happy with it! πŸ™‚

    We already had the diamond from my husband’s grandmother’s engagement ring, so it only cost us around $500 for the new setting! Here is a picture of it when I first picked it up from the jewelers πŸ™‚ It’s now soldered with my wedding band.

    @FinallyMrsSmith2020:  I love marquise cuts and really want one as a RHR.  What are the dimensions of your stone?  It’s beautiful!

    We paid $11,100 for my ring.  Original budget was $10K, but we found the perfect stone and H agreed it was worth it.  And we saved the 10% sales tax by shipping it out of state.

    We used an heirloom ring that had been in my family, so it was free to us. My husband bought my wedding band (I picked it out) for about $700.

    @thecleverfoxgirl:  thank you πŸ™‚ I rarely have issues with my ring getting caught on things thankfully! I LOVE wedding bands with small alternating marquise and round stones!!!

    $0 because we were young and had no money πŸ™‚

    Many years later, he gave me an OEC solitaire that was more than $13,000, but I don’t know the exact price. I would never have spent that myself on a piece of jewellery, but I love it.

    I’m obsessed with my ring from Yadav Diamonds & Jewelry πŸ™‚ 14k rosegold, 2 carat center lab diamond, marquise and round halo total cost was $6500 but my fiance spent about $5000 due to discounts because I used to work for jeweler … don’t ever plan to upgrade so i felt ok making my fiance spend a little $ but we are saving for a house & he supports his mother and brother financially so i didn’t want him spending over $5,000 (we live in CA with averageish salaries for the area (excluding high earner techies) – I’m a public school teacher & he works for the public utilities company doing data analysis. I felt strongly about lab diamond because mining is horrible for the environment (and my students are huge environmentalists & I would feel too guilty) / diamond industry is exploitative. I also just like the look of a big white stone and he didn’t want to get a moissanite which I was open to. In terms of age, we’ve been together over 4 years and I’m 30 and he’s 31.
