Mine cost much less that $500, in fact it was less than $100. It’s vintage, and very small and dainty. I love it!

We didn’t want to spend a lot, and anyway we are grad students! I don’t understand when people on these boards say “Oh, we’re students, we have no money, we ONLY spent a few thousand!” It’s funny how much people’s ideas of affordable differ ๐Ÿ™‚

(sorry for the huge pic/random image, i’m uploading from my phone)

My e-ring was around 2k originally (1/2 “carat” moissy with 4mm sapphires) but our jeweler was very sweet and ended up giving us a huge discount, we only ended up paying around $1200. I love a bargain!

@LessIsMoore:  Pictures?? I am so curious about the Asha stones ๐Ÿ™‚  I love clear stones and want an Asha and a moissy to add to my collection. Unfortunately, we are pretty spent out right now – lol. How long have you had it and are you careful with you rrings, or rough on them? I would say I am rough on mine, but have never had a cz cloud, so I imagine an Asha would last me even longer.

P.s its an antique cushion cut, hence the broad chunky flashes.

@LessIsMoore:  I have to say, it looks like any picture of any diamond I have seen…..I couldnt tell at all. Its lovely!! What do they say the color is? Would you say D-E or more towards H-G?  Its beautiful, at any rate. Good choice!!!

Mine is a custom ring combining two Verragio styles. Fiance picked one he liked and I picked the other. I don’t have the ring yet (it’s being made, yay!), but here is what it will look like. In total, the setting was $450 and my 1ct FB moissanite was $400. So, $850 for this gorgeous ring. The setting alone from Verragio would have been $1800.

@ponyrider:  Its the J coloured one which was realeased in the first batch. I love the warmer colours and as an added bonus its more realistic to what we could afford in a diamond (if we wanted to spend the cash) in the size too.

Being a J colour and an antique cut (most people dont realise you can even get antique cut sims) it has never been questioned, and I pass if off and dont feel bad about that ๐Ÿ™‚

Photos really dont do it any justice. People have stopped me to gush because it caught their eye from accross the room.

I love my wedding band even more, its a graduated 5 stone trellis wiith Asha round cuts.

I know I am gushing now lol, but I really love being able to have the bling without the guilt of it costing thousands and thousands, we are pretty well off, but I prefer to spend our hard earned cash on quickly paying off our mortgage and our frequent trips overseas.

If I had gotten an equivilent sized diamond e-ring we probably wouldn’t have been able to have the same sized wedding and travel through Europe for a month for our honeymoon, without going into any debt anyway.

We could have gone with a smaller or lower quality diamond, but it wasnt the name tag “diamond” I was after: I wanted size, quality, intense sparkle of cut and an amazing setting. Asha ticked all my boxes. I guess I just have different priorities to a lot of girls.

@LessIsMoore:  My God…its beautiful and so real looking. I also like the warmer color diamonds. I so agree with you on spending disposable income in different ways…if we didnt have our horses (which are a major part of our lives) we could easily save 10k in a year and spend it on a really nice diamond, but I just dont see that as a good exchange – lol.

We ended up with a large but lower quality diamond and it suits us just fine ๐Ÿ™‚  But your ring is absolutely gorgeous!!!!

Thank you for answering my questions about the Asha!!
