We spent a little over $2K for everything. We went to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico for a week. We spent the whole week at the pool and beach and didn’t do any excursions as we really just wanted to relax.

We did upgrade to a penthouse suite with a private jacuzzi. 100% worth it.

We spent 4k at an all inclusive resort (including flights) in Jamaica for 6 nights. We upgraded our room to one of the top tier rooms right on the beach. It was our honeymoon so we completely felt OK splurging on it.

We’re going to Mauritius. We will be gone in total for 14 days and in Mauritius itself for 11 days.

So far we spent $1100 on flights per person and $7500 on our resort. I expect we will spend another $2000 in Mauritius.

It will come out to about just under $12,000.

We spent about $5k for 11 days in Italy (Naples & Rome). Both flights together were $1.3k, hotels about $2k, rental car $220, the rest was food, drinks, some souvenirs, tickets to places to see, etc. We felt most comfortable splurging on food and wine – can’t get that stuff back here!

We will spend approximately 12 000 or so. We are doing 2 weeks in Australia, one week in New Zealand and one week in Tahiti (moorea to be precise). Flights were about 4500$ CAD + 3500$ for our stay in moorea (split between house rental/ overwater bungalow) and we are anticipating to spend another 4-5000$ between Australia and New Zealand (and food). It is costing us almost as much as our wedding but we are splurging as it’s a once in a lifetime trip!

We are doing a 14 day land and sea cruise to Alaska, the cruise costs $6500 for both of us. Future Mother-In-Law has in insane number of air miles (like 400,000) and she covered the flights as a gift. We also have $1500 in travel rewards we are using for the trip. The land portion doesn’t include food so we have budgeted about another $500 for that.

Part of the reason we picked it was because the land portion includes a lot of activities in the fare and we basically don’t have to do any planning which is great since I am my own wedding planner. We have always wanted to visit Alaska.

We spent around $8k USD on our honeymoon. It would have been less but we went during Christmas and New Years, so flights (from Aus) were double what we’d normally pay.

We booked nicer accommodation than we normally would and did more expensive activities too.

We went to Singapore, The Philippines, Bangkok &  Ho Chi Minh City. We were away for 3 weeks.

We spent probably about ~$12,000 (US)

We spent 14 days in Greece and we did luxury and a bit of island hopping.  Private drivers, cooking classes, catamaran ride, tours–all private.  It was incredible and I dream of going back almost daily.

We went to Disney World and Universal Studios in Orlando for 10 days. Our total was somewhere between $5-6k however we used airline miles for our flights, had some left over park passes so only had to buy 1/2 of what we used, and had some credit card rewards and gift cards as well. That also includes the cost to board our furbabies for 13 nights.

missjoy0819 :

1) Where did you go for your honeymoon and how long was your trip? Going in May (belated honeymoon/first anniversary trip) to Disney and Bermuda.

2) What was your total cost for the trip (flights/transportation, lodging, food, activities, etc.)

I think around $6-7,000 for flights (lodging and park passes at Disney were gifted) and the all-inclusive resort in Bermuda. We haven’t planned excursions yet and food/shopping will add to the total cost.

3) What did you feel most comfortable splurging on? Everything. We’ve been counting down the days for this trip and have a lot to celebrate! I’m most looking forward to relaxing in the sun and excursions!

£6000 estimated for nearly 3 weeks in Italy including flights. We are staying in good hotels with suites the whole time (even a penthouse suite for 5 of our nights in Rome). Business class flights from London to Rome included. £80 a day for food for the two of us and £40 a day for attractions (minus travelling days and 2 other wedding days).
