I contacted a few when we were looking and it ranged from 350 to 600.

We are paying 400$ to a Reverend.

We are paying $100, to a lawyer.  Not personal.  Just gets the job done.

We paid $595 for ours. We met with him once beforehand, to get to know each other and what we were looking for in our ceremony, and then we emailed the script back and forth about 30 or more times before the day of the wedding. He was great. (We also tipped him $50 at the end of the cocktail hour, before he was slated to leave.)

Wow… Ours is only charging us $50, but it could be because he knows my FH’s family and such.

$400–but I think that is very high since I wrote the entire ceremony myself!!

$300. They’re awesome! We had a really great first meeting with them, they sent us a huge packet for ceremony ideas and flow, and they run the rehearsal.

I honestly don’t remember, but we used the pastor at my mom’s church, and I had known him for quite some time. I think it was probably around $50, but my mom paid.

$375 for our reverand/JP on Cape Cod. I know that Justice of the Peace prices can vary per state but Justice of the Peace prices are regulated in MA.

Our officiant is charging $550 for the ceremony. He charges another $150 for a rehearsal if he is available. During our first meeting, we met him for over 2 hours and he got to know us, talked about how we met, our goals and aspirations and what we wanted in a ceremony. He then put together a full script and has allowed us to make as many changes and edits we want.  Even though he is just an officiant whom we didn’t already know, he is making sure our ceremony is very personal and about us.

Our officiant is charging us $250. We’ve been to his house to go over the details of the ceremony which were fantastic. He agreed to change certain things because we didn’t like them or whatever and he’s even made suggestions since it’s a same sex wedding. He’s been amazing!

Ours is a friend who is a youth minister in our town. He said to give him whatever we were comfy with because he didn’t have a set price so we gave him $300. 🙂
