This is my wedding band from Blue Nile:

At the time, they were having a sale so I think we got it for around $2k. It’s more than we had anticipated spending, but I really wanted a pretty wedding band so that it was still sparkly when I’m not wearing my engagement ring (I do a lot of hands-on stuff and always smack my engagement ring into things so I don’t wear it all the time).

My husband bought my engagement ring so I’m not entirely sure how much he spent, but I’m guessing somewhere around $6-7k based on my ring specs.

WannaBee2BridalBee:  Thanks! He got my engagement ring from Blue Nile too and we were extremely happy with the quality. If you buy anything from Blue Nile (regardless of the price) check for coupon codes before you check out…you can sometimes find a 10% off or $100 off!

Mine is stone-free as I’m not a blingy person.  It was custom made, silver, so 130.  Husband’s was 160.  I don’t know the actual price of my e-ring but somewhere in the 6-800 range.

I wanted a simple wedding band, so I got a 2mm white gold milgrain wedding band for less than $200, which was much less than the e-ring.

My ering was 5,000 and my wedding band was like 400 on sale…score! Don’t worry about diamonds falling out of cheaper bands. Could happen really to any ring no matter the price but I would definitely go to a reputable jeweler. 🙂 I also have warranties on both so that they will replace the diamond that fell out free of charge.

My original wedding diamond band is 1/3 carat platinum.  I think it was around $1,200.  My newer stack Neil Lane rose gold band was $800.  I’ve just ordered a 1/4 carat channel band in rose gold on sale for around $500…waiting anxiously to get it in!

Wedding band was approx 1/8 of the price of ering. I don’t think it matters. Just get what’s in your budget and what you like. If you’re concerned about durability then avoid something with lots of tiny stones.
