archibee…why do you say downhill? Carolina Herrera makes gorgeous gowns! I’m sure yours is beautiful!

In my case, I knew the shoes I wanted before I got the dress! hehehe…I’m a shoeholic!

My dress is a Modern Trousseau, all lace, and it was ~$3500. I purchased it at a trunk show, so I got 10% off, which pretty much covered the sales tax. Originally, my budget was $3000, but my fiance and I both loved the dress so much that we agreed we could go over the budget a little. I definitely think it’s worth it – I love clothes and I really, really wanted an all-lace dress. Sometimes I do feel a little guilty about the cost, but my fiance tells me (in fact, told me last night) that I deserved to get the dress I wanted. I figure if he doesn’t mind, why should I??

My fiance agreed to a 5000 budget after watching “YES to the DRESS” show, I think he thought gowns are all expensive. I didn’t plan on spending that much for a gown but as soon as I tried my gown I knew it was “the one”. The dress looks expensive but glad I only have to pay 1900 w/o the alteration, veil, tax.

    $20 + $15 shipping + free alterations = $35 wedding dress

    Worth every penny!

I ended up finding my James Clifford J1820 for $1500…I figured it was worth it…I had my eye on Agadir from Cymbeline (as well as some Pronovias gowns), but as soon as I put it on, my grandma started crying…how can you dispute that???? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m attaching the stock picture…as well as a picture of me from the back in the sample (I think the back is so pretty)

fiftyfootbride – so sweet! can’t wait until it is in my size…the sample was huuuuge, haha if only you could see the massive amount of clips that we had in the front to take that picture of the back!

I just speak the truth. ๐Ÿ™‚

I feel you on the ‘can’t wait to have it in my size’ thing. I can’t wait to see the dress that is actually mine. I’ll put it on and it won’t be 5 inches too short and the waist will be in the right spot without having to pull the dress so far down. :p

Mine was $250 (of course, was further discounted 1 week after I bought it, but what can you do?), alterations are just a bustle for $70.  Friend lent me her viel (great for something borrowed).
