Dress was £4750 ($7550) alterations are around £400

    veil was £300 ($470)

belt is £450, but I am selling it after the wedding

shoes £50 ($79) ๐Ÿ˜€ so happy with my shoes they were a great find!

the annoying thing is that my dress is cheaper in the states, I bought it in London. It’s a Vera Wang Harlow dress, I think I saw a few brides post a smaller price for that dress ๐Ÿ™

Mine is Casablanca 1885.  I paid $958 for it before alterations.

This is not the veil I ended up going with.  I also need to purchase a slip for underneath it to make it look as full as it does in the pictures. I ordered the dress in the same size as the sample I’m wearing above and was told that it will need very little alterations.

My dress was $400, alterations were around $200 I think (hem, bustle, take in straps and bust, add lingerie straps).  I had to look far and wide for a place that did alterations for that price.  Most people heard “wedding dress,” saw dollar signs, and wanted to charge me more than I paid for the dress.  Veil less than $10 at Michael’s, shoes $20 at Payless.

At the ceremony using a trick I learned on the Bee– hold your bouquet low.  I forgot to tell my BMs, and they are holding their bouquets high and blocking the bustlines of their dresses.
