I’m with ceamoste, I’m not worried too much about the actual weight more worried about toning up.

I just lost a lot of weight after getting engaged for a lot of reasons (illness, death in the family, etc.)  While I don’t mind the “new me” I resent everyone assuming that it’s tied to my impending wedding day.

I expect to lose about 10 – 15 lbs by Jan.

A daily walk and healthy portions of food would do good.

15 pounds would make me jump for joy but I feel like I have been actively trying to lose 15 pounds for over a year and only lost 5… ugh.

15lbs for me, but SO hard during the summer when there’s so much going on!  Plus, with marathon training, you almost feel entitled to eat the bad stuff instead of a salad, you know?

I am hoping to shed about 20 pounds. I think that would be an absolutely amazing thing. I have been trying to lose this 20 – 25 pounds for like 6 years since I had my kiddo and I cant seem to stay motivated or on any type program

I would like to lose 5-10, however, it’s SO HARD for me to lose weight, so I doubt it would be more than 5 pounds. However, my alterations are almost done and my dress fits perfectly (I pick it up next week).

What do I do??? I don’t want to have to pay more to get it taken in later (if I do lose weight).

I feel like most brides (myself included) see the wedding as the time to loose that last 5 or 10 pounds. But all the marketing annoys the hell out of me. A wedding diet? Please explain to me what makes it different than a normal lifestyle change! It’s all about the money and that gets old fast.

That being said, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to look your best. I don’t know about everyone else, but I’ve lost and gained the same 10 lbs dozens of times over. It’s my last little hurdle and while I don’t need to lose it to be happy on my wedding day, it’s a nice goal to work towards, and it’s something to think about when I don’t feel like going the extra mile with our dog, or when the gelato counter looks tempting.

I’m hoping to lose about 40lbs by our wedding day… I’m going to a diet doctor and I’m on adipex and I’m watching what I’m eating and trying to exercise

I’ve lost 39 which was my goal!  My wedding isn’t until October 30th so now I’m just maintaining and toning more!  I did it though sparkpeople and I would recommend them to any and everyone!

My goal is lose about 20 pounds before the wedding. As the wedding date rolls closer, 10.10.10, I wonder if I’ll actually make it. My plan is do the South Beach along with 30-60 minutes of exercise daily. And I was reading what other bloggers were saying about not doing this just for the wedding day. Honestly I am doing this for the wedding day…. photos. I hope not to gain the weight back after the wedding, but I probably won’t work as hard to keep it off once the day has past. Its a personal satisfaction thing for me. I know I’m not obese, but I want to be able to look at my wedding photos in 30 years and think, “damn I looked good.”
