Like most brides, I want to lose a little weight/tone up.
I can’t lie that I am curious to see how much weight the average bride loses for her wedding so:
How much did you lose for your wedding or how much are you planning to lose? How long did it take you?

Goal is 20 lbs – from 138 to 118. I’m down 11 so far since Jan 1, and that’s with a moderate diet and fairly consistent workouts.

I lost about 10 pounds for my wedding. It took me from the end of December until now to lose the weight. I have always been and avid gym person and healty eater but I stepped it up for the wedding and I also used myfitness pal which makes you super aware of the things you are eating and what to avoid.
My shower was yesterday and everyone was telling me how small I look..it felt good 🙂

5-10 lbs, but on my 5’2″ body, it’s a bit more than toning up!

I’m down 9 lbs since we got engaged in january. My goal is to lose 50 total. This isn’t just a wedding thing though, it’s something I’ve been trying to do for awhile I’m just using the wedding for that extra motivation.

NONE! Although I am not perfect the way I am now…. so I didn’t vote in your poll.

My goal is 8-10 lbs…but that’s only because I’m a little up from my normal weight. So it’s not exactly for the wedding.

I gained weight pre-wedding. I was simply planning to stay the same but I ended up gaining due to other factors in life I was dealing with at the same time.

Hm. I can’t vote since I’m not trying to lose any weight, just replace fat with muscle.

@kateisstoned: I started exercising two years before as my BF got married the year before and I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man. I probably lost about 7 pounds

i plan on losing 5 lbs for the sake of losing some belly fat and toning up. i will do my same routine (yoga 4 times a week/watch what i eat) however, i plan to stop drinking beer and cutting back on sugar a few months before my wedding to shed some fat.

@Mrs.KMM: This is where my life is right now. Luckily I bought the dress a little too big and it still fits so there is no immediate panic beyond doubts about how I’ll look in pictures. I still have a bit of time so I may be able to pull off losing some weight (I’ve been using myfitness pal and working out and really upping my water intake and watching what I eat) but I haven’t really seen a difference yet, and if I do, it will likely only get me to pre engagement weight.

@kateisstoned: I had every intention on staying at the same weight I was when my wedding dress came in at 107 lbs. I ended up gaining about 5 pounds though. Don’t eat to deal with stress, lol.
