(Closed) How much weight have you gained since you began dating your SO?

I think I fluctuate. At one point I gained about 10-15 lbs, but I’ve since lost it and I am about the same size (maybe smaller) than I was when we first started dating! 🙂

@XWeddBlissX:  I would guess about 15kg. I’m guessing, because I stopped weighing myself. I went on a running mission and would weigh myself every day, then I decided that I’m going to run to feel good, and just stayed away from the scales. The exercise routine lasted about a month before I hurt myself. I need to get myself motivated again.

I have gone from underweight to a healthy weight, but I’m so unfit and un-toned, I’m carrying more weight on my tummy and thighs than I would like. I have been cutting out the junk though – instead of snacking on chocolate, I’m snacking on yoghurt, celery or carrots. 

My SO has probably gained 20kg, but I’m still as attracted to him as I was when I met him. I’m just not happy with me. I want to look athletic, toned, and healthy!

I lost 15 pounds! 

My husband tells me constantly that i need to work out, motivation!

I gained around 50lbs too, but I’m around 5’10 so I hid it well for a while and was techincally “underweight” when we started dating. I’ve lost over 10lbs in the past 2 months (since I joined a gym and started working with a trainer). I still want to get back within 10lbs of the 140 I was at when we started dating. He’s a stick and once he started doing the majority of the cooking it was all downhill. I’ve been trying to make better eating habits and tend to eat separately from him most nights- but it works out well because we’re usually hungry at different times anyway.

I’ve gained about 15 lbs and am just starting to lose it. So far, thanks to My Fitness Pal, I am down about 3 lbs. He is always snacking (and never gains a pound! stinker!!) especially late at night and I got in the bad habit of snacking along with him. I also got into the habit of making the first thing I could get my hands on for lunch/dinner, usually an entire box of maccaroni and cheese, and gained a bunch of weight that way.

I was a fabulous 57kg (125lb) when Fiance and I first got together

Two babies and 8 years later I’ve been up and down between 130-145lb. I feel fantastic at around 135.

Although I’m about 140 now and pretty happy with how i look in my wedding dress, except for my arms which need a major toning!

I have gained 20 pounds over two years because i went from waitressing/hosting at a restaurant with over 80 stairs to the second floor to a sit down office job. I just lost 5 pounds though!

10+lbs (Blah!). I’ve been unsuccessful in losing it *sigh* while he on the other hand never seems to gain a pound lol

I gained 11 lbs, but lost 6 of it since. I’m up and down with the last 5lbs

I lost about 20-25 lbs before meeting my Fiance because I was super unhappy in my last relationship, putting me at about 160 lbs. I gained all that back and then some over the past year and half since dating my Fiance, so all in all, I gained about 45 lbs. I’ve currently lost 11 lbs since January 2 though by going primal/paleo! Hooray! I’m hoping to get back down to the weight I was when I met Fiance since I was happy there and looked the best there.

Net change of almost nothing, but I gained 20 lbs or so two years ago (injury, inactivity and overeating) and then lost that weight. He’s hardly changed.

@stacycats:  +1  Got kick butt genes also.  My body doesn’t hold onto weight.  Even after I had my two kids, stomach was/is pretty flat.  Got to work on gaining muscle though because if I am not careful, I look too thin.

I’ve gained 15 pounds since we’ve been together (almost two years)! During the first year and a half, I only gained about 5 pounds, but in the past few months, I’ve packed on 10 more. It could be because I’m a college student and I don’t have the time, money, or energy to prepare and eat healthy meals, but I think it’s also because all my fiancé eats is junk food and I usually eat whatever he eats. The difference is that I gain weight and he doesn’t! But I’ve just started dieting and exercising, so hopefully I’ll look as good as I did when we first met soon!

When we first got together, I lost about 2 kilograms because I was so in love and excited I couldn’t even eat! 🙂 Recently, I’ve gained about 3 kilograms though. NOT happy! I desperately need to start a workout routine, and fast!
