Mine were $220, I felt like I couldn’t ask my girls to pay for a dress they didn’t get to pick out and probably won’t wear again, so I paid for the dress.  I was able to find my wedding dress for about half the price I had budgeted, so I used the rest of the money to cover my bridesmaids’ dresses.

We ordered our Alfred Sung dresses from Netbride.com for $120-$130 each.  It was about $50 cheaper for each Bridesmaid or Best Man to order from netbride rather than a bridal salon in our area.

I spent a lot of time looking for formal, floor-length strapless bridesmaids’ dresses in a very specific color.  I checked numerous bridal salons that offered dresses in a variety of pricepoints in my area and FINALLY found two styles of dresses (one for the bridesmaids, the other for the junior bridesmaids) that were available in the PERFECT color! Because the fabric was double-faced silk, the dresses unfortunately cost about $300 each.

I think 140 is really reasonable. I also asked all of my girls if they were okay with the price of the dresses before picking them (they’re all wearing different styles, but same color and chiffon). We went with the Amsale gowns (there were so many different styles and since my girls are paying for their own gown, I wanted them to choose something they loved and felt great in…it made sense). Anyways, the dresses ended up being 270ish after the discount from the salon.

I think $140 is reasonable, depending on the financial situation of your girls. I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a friend’s wedding and we had to pay about $160 for the dresses (which By The Way were hideous, black, floor-length chiffon for an outdoor June wedding…)

I had a really hard time coming up with the money, but I did it. The other BMs were older with steady jobs/not in school, so they didn’t have a problem. Just know your girls!

original price they are $170, but since I got my dress at the same store they get $20 off, so they are $150.  I actually showed all of them another cheaper option $130 and they all liked the $150 one better and said they would be okay with the price. they were all there when i picked out my dress…

i didnt realize how pricey mine were until I saw all of yours :-/. I didn’t want them to spend more than $200. But, my one bridesmaid LOVED the sweetheart form of this one dress which was $230. The straight across was $180. So I let them pick. If they wanted to spend the extra money they had the choice. It turned out perfectly. Half picked the straight across while the other half picked the sweet heart

Mine are about $200 each, but I’m getting them on sale so they will be about $150 each.
