CaitlinAthena:  they were purchased in August during a time where they had a sale where if you spent $150 or more you got like 20% of or something like that so my maids paid for them together and it ended coming out to $76 a person!

Whatever they want.  I let them have 100% freedom to chose whatever dress they wanted, whatever fabric, and whatever style.

My Maid/Matron of Honor and bridesmaids are my sister and 2 nieces and they are paying for their own dresses and shoes.  We ordered the dresses from a smaller bridal store and they cost about $175 inc. alterations.

I’m paying for mine and it costs about $1600 which includes extra for plus size, bustle, veil and alterations.  Haven’t found shoes yet

FutureMrsHouy:  Haha, unfortuantely, they did run pretty small. My wedding dress is a size 4 (US), and I ordered a Medium for myself. I’m about 120lbs with a 32d. That was def the only downside! I’ve ordered from the website before and usually am a Small, but not with these ones!

I chose my girls’ dresses tonight. They are $250, which is more than what I wanted them to spend. I told them all to let me know before they order. I would like to contribute at least $50 toward the cost of their dress.

They can wear whatever they want for shoes and I am also taking care of their jewelry.

Kayla234:  My ladies paid for their dresses and shoes. For shoes I asked for nude shoes… any kind. For the dresses I picked the colour and material and they each picked their own dress, they were between $160-$190.

My bridesmaid dresses were $150ish each with postage. In Aus the exact same were selling for $350-400 so I got them online direct from the manufacturer in the states. I paid. I also paid for their earrings, shows for my Maid/Matron of Honor who didn’t have navy suede shows (only thing that would work with their dresses and I didn’t think it fair to make her buy them) and their hair and makeup. That was non negotiable.

I spent more on my dress than I initially anticipated – $3200 plus $250 veil. I also got a hairpiece to tie it all together and that was also more than I’d dream of paying normally, $175. Shoes were $120. I also paid.

I have no idea how much their dresses were. They paid.

i gave them a color, and let them pick whichever dress they wanted that was available in that color

i did pick the shoes: matching flat shoes. The guys were kinda on the short side and I didn’t want them to tower over them

i did purchase their jewlery.

I let them pick any dress they wanted as long as it was long and black. One girl bought a $70 dress, another a $400 – the rest inbetween. I thought it was great!

Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses: from $50-125 They were J.Crew and I just chose a color and they could get whatever style they wanted. They have great sales and eBay has them as well for great prices! All my girls I paid for the dresses.

Bridesmaid or Best Man shoes: $30, I offered to pay but was refused by all ladies :-/

Dresses were $49 from Donna Morgan (sells at Nordstrom). Originally $300+ dresses. Got lucky 🙂

I’m paying for their custom made dresses because I wanted fairly specific colours that stores didn’t generally offer, about $100 each. They’ll be six shades of green 🙂 Shoes are a mismatch of nudes and silver as I wanted them to be comfortable.

My dress was $1800 with match mantilla veil and shoes I will splash out and get a pair of Louboutins, approximately $1000 give or take.
