$715 total for 185 invitation cards with envelopes and silk pocket folders, 175 additional inserts for ancillary wedding events, 360 RSVP cards with envelopes and printed addresses, and 185 information cards with our wedding website URL. We have foiling, textured invitation cards, and thermographic printing. We went with a non-U.S. based vendor and while it was a huge PITA working with someone overseas, and even more so for my poor cousins who live locally and had to keep running back and forth to the invitation place for me, it was considerably cheaper and the designs were more appropriate for the style of our wedding without compromising at all on quality or sacrificing the bells and whistles.
Meanwhile, calligraphy is going to be like $500…FML.

stephietee: We used Minted, ordered 55 foil pressed invitations plus reply cards, also printed our return address on the reply cards. I think we paid around $300 after a coupon (I think it was 20% off).
I really loved the quality of Minted and how easy the recipient addressing was. I highly recommend them. And we used Vistaprint for everything else (Save the Dates, programs, menus, a welcome sign). I was really happy with the quality and their customer service. Only reason we didn’t use them for invites was we wanted the foil and the recipient address printing.

We did 65 invites and RSVP cards through Vistaprint with a coupon code (I think it was either 25% or 40%). We paid about $90. My dad did the addresses for us, since he does calligraphy as a hobby.

I bought my design via Etsy $60, it had all the insert cards, plus a thank you and monogram cut out design. Plus everything pre cut / pre folded
I however got very lucky in printing, my father used to work at a print shop and they only charged me $308 WITH TAX! It got me the following:
120 Save The Dates
120 of each insert, we had 3
120 thank you cards
120 monogram cut outs
30 we said yes cards to my family that we arent to close to
From what I can tell, I got a very good deal and only really paid cost. However before I thought to ask the place my dad used to work, I was going to print at Staples and it was still only going to cost around $550 for a DIY set, but we would have had to cut and fold everything ourselves.
