For an entirely new setting in a band that thick, I’d guess between $900-1500.

Really depends on the setting. Check out Blue Nile – go to the ‘build you own ring’ page, and then look at the price of settings alone. That will give you an idea.

Just a top of my head guess, the setting you posted looks quite thick, I’d say it might be around $1,500-$2,000 to get the equivalent in platinum, but that’s purely a guess.

I imagine you would probably circle around the 2k mark.

For platinum?  I agree with the $1500+ estimates.  I only know that because I priceshopped like crazy this month for my platinum ring and the cost of metal is sky high.

Platinum is SUPER EXPENSIVE if you go thru a brick & mortar jewellery store (but this is the way you’ll probably have to do it as you are looking for a “custom design”)

Example, I was at a local Jewellers this weekend looking for a Wedding Band in Platinum… and was bowled over by the prices.  A thin 2.5 mm band (not a lot of metal) and they wanted $ 250 for it in 10Kt White Gold… in Platinum $ 1250.  Something as wide as the one you have shown would probably be 2x or more that amount (you could measure the width of what you have currently).  BUT it will overall be about “the weight” when a price is quoted, and the labour that will go into making the ring and setting the stones as well.

Hope this helps,
